Precision Sticks™ Owner’s Guide & Training Hub
Everything you need to get the most from your APK Precision Sticks – setup, technique, challenges, and videos. Plus: why every mover should have a set.
Already own them? Start with the Landing Positions below. Thinking about it? See the benefits and challenges – then jump in.
Quick Start (3 Checks)
1. Space – Leave at least a bidy-length of clear area in all directions around each stick.
2. Grip – Test traction: slide the base lightly with your foot. Choose a surface that doesn’t slip.
3. Surface Check – Precision Sticks are non-marking, but test a small area first to confirm.
Disclaimer: Consult a physician before starting a new exercise program. Practice at ground level, use buffer zones, and land softly on both feet.
Accuracy & Control
Train precise foot placement and stillness – the founcation of parkour and sport performance
Progress You Can Measure
Simple tests and challenges let you track gains in balance, jump distance, and endurance.
Safe, Scalable
Start inches from the stick at ground level, add distance only when you can land silently and still.
Kid- to Pro-Friendly
From Pe Classes to elite athletes. Precision Sticks meet you where you are.
Landing Positions (Hold each for 10 seconds)
Build these before you jump. Use them to recover balance after landing.
1. Top Position
Slight knee bend, subtle forward lean, whole body ‘quiet’. Hold 10s.

2. Middle Position
About 90° at the knees; shoulders stacked over knees. Hold 10s.

3. Bottom Position
Full crouch with control. Heels can rise as needed. Hold 10s.

Foot placement: Always land on the balls of your feet — never arches or heels.
Precision Jump Technique
How to Progress
• Stand close to the stick and make small, controlled jumps.
• Land in Top position, then use Middle or Bottom if balance wobbles.
• Stick the landing: hold still for 3 seconds.
•When you stick 6/10 at a distance, back up 2u20133 inches and repeat.
Common Issues → Simple Cues
- Tipping forward: Sit hips back slightly; squeeze shoulder blades together.
- Tipping back: Keep arms forward for counterbalance; ensure balls of feet are on the stick.
- Unstable feet: Focus eyes on a fixed point at head height; relax on inhale, brace on exhale.
Simple Challenges
Back-Off
Start Close. Stick a landing, then step back 2-3 inches. Miss twice at a distance? Move one increment closer and rebuild confidence.
Frozen Balance
Feet shoulder-width on the stick. 4 x 30-second holds. If you fall, subtract a second from your time and add it to your total.
Floor Is Lava (Course)
Arrance sticks (and Lava Rocks™ if you have them). Cross the room without ‘falling in.’ Strides, precisions, creativitiy encouraged.

Safety & Best Practices
- Risk is managed by keeping danger low: train at ground level, add mats if needed, and enforce buffer zones.
- Always land on both feet with soft, quiet impact. ‘Quiet’ is proof of control.
- Assess users and drills: adjust distance, speed, and reps to match skill, size, and age.
- Perform drills so you avoid contact with bystanders. Keep pathways clear of hazards.
- Warm up with simplified parkour patterns (silent running, squats, rolls) before jumping.
