Hi! I’m Mark Toorock, founder and CEO of American Parkour. For many years, while parkour was developing in the United States, APK served as a community hub. Recently, it feels like there are so many different places to host a community that the community is spread thin to the point of non-existence. There are Facebook groups, Discord servers, and Instagram pages, but there is no central host for discussion. American Parkour’s initial mission has stayed intact for over 18 years – to help people lead better lives through the spread of parkour practice. In 2024, we find ourselves focused on doing that through our Parkour for Schools programs, Parkour Instructor Certifications, and our growing library of online resources for Teachers, coaches, Parkour Business Owners and Community leaders.
