Julie Angel's book has the most complete history of parkour I've seen, with lots of details you won't easily find anywhere else: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cine+parkour&x=0&y=0

Also, since it is taken from her anthropology PhD, there's a lot in there about how parkour effects society, too.

Today is the FINAL day to register for American Rendezvous 2.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to train with over 100 traceurs from all over the United States and Canada and learn from the founders and principle developers of parkour!

Right now, we have eight coaches confirmed, but as we receive reservations today we hope to add as many as three more coaches -- making this year's event even bigger than last year's!

Registration will be closing on May 12 so we can decide if we need additional instructors. Be sure to get your reservation in by then!

Right now we have eight coaches confirmed, including three of the founders of parkour: Yann Hnautra, Laurent Piemontesi and Chau Belle. Benoit Odoyer of the Paris-based ADD Academy will also be providing instruction. Dan Edwardes, Chris Keighley and Chris "Blane" Rowat from Parkour Generations will be returning to instruct at American Rendezvous once again, while Parkour Generations coach James Gore will be teaching in US for the first time.

We can now confirm that Parkour Generations filmmaker Julie Angel will be on hand to record the event and to give a presentation on parkour history.

Thanks, Dale. People have lots of option this year, ranging from $200 for the whole weekend to $30 for a two hour class. Sunday and Monday cost $80 separately and $150 together. The Saturday trip to Hocking Hills + stealth session at night costs a bit more ($100) to ensure a safe instructor ratio. There's a lot of other price breakdowns depending on which parts of the weekend you want to attend, but those are the basics.

We can now confirm six instructors:

From Parkour Generations: Dan Edwardes and and Chris "Blane" Rowat

Three Yamakasi members: Yann Hnautra, Chau Belle, Laurent Piemontesi

In addition, we will be bringing over one instructor from the ADD Academy, to be named soon.

This is just the BEGINNING. As more people sign up, we will be adding more instructors to the list. Last year, we were able to bring 10 instructors from the UK, France and Italy. This year we are optimistic about bringing even more.

Registration now open!

You’ll notice that on Monday, you have the option to attend training from 8am to 10am instead of 3pm to 5pm. We are providing this option to give travelers the chance to get all of their training in even if they need to leave earlier in the evening.

Hey Nick, so I sent an email to contact@parkourhorizons.com on the April 2nd, and didn't hear anything back so I tried using the "contact us" link on the Pk Horizons website on the 4th and didn't hear anything back either.

As such I tried to find this very thread, and found the one from last year and sent the email for you listed there an email before realizing that thread was old, and finally fining this one, heh. So basically I'm wondering how I could get a response to getting in on this fantastic ADAPT certification process with Jordan, because if him and Ryan go and I don't I will be so lonely and jealous in the days before American Rendevous, I won't even know what to do.

Sorry for being somewhat spastic in trying to get a response, I figured I'd hear back any day now and it just kept not happening. Please assist!

Check your email. Sorry for the confusion.

Monday’s modules will be Breaking Jumps: Psychology of Conquering Fear, Flexibility for Longevity: The Importance of Stretching and Mobility Training and The Art of Movement: Creativity in Training.

Like on Sunday, you will also be able to choose to attend a module that will consist of guest speakers. They will be a mix of some of the instructors from Europe, community leaders from the US and experts in strength training.

I'm trying to persuade my mom to let me go :O
Is there anywhere to stay for the weekend (instead of having to keep traveling from state to state every day :P)?

Although we would love to host people from out of town, much of our free space will be used to host the instructors. We will be posting some information about some local hotels.

On Sunday and Monday of American Rendezvous, you will be able to pick two "modules" to attend. The modules will be a mix of presentation, discussion and application. Think of it this way: You will show up dressed to train, but you'll want to bring a notebook, too. The goal here is to give you more to take home to improve your own training.

We are excited to announce Sunday’s modules: Injury Avoidance and Management, Strength Training and Conditioning for Parkour: Why, What and How? and The Art of Movement: Creativity in Training.

We will also have a module that will consist of special presentations from three guest speakers. More to come on that soon.

Flights from London and Paris, hotel rooms, shelter reservation, insurance for the event, and the permit for the park are some of the primary expenditures.
