Tricking / Cork s/t help?
« on: June 30, 2011, 03:13:23 PM »
This is my current cork

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQMF7lMRfzA&feature=related

I want to be able to get it higher/faster so i can swing through.  right now, if i land too low to land on one leg and swing effectively.  Do i just need to constantly drill this until i build the height for it?  or am i doing something wrong technically?

« on: February 22, 2011, 08:44:11 PM »
okay... rawr.  this move has been getting me for a while.  in the gym whenever i try this, i either smack the wall with my back then slide down, or hit it with my feet on the rotation.  How the heck do you do this move?

oh and if i have the wrong term, i mean doing a wall(front)flip

Injuries - Discussion / knee crap
« on: November 26, 2010, 02:31:23 PM »
soooo... eight months ago i went to a doctor after my left knee hurting for about three months prior to that and he told me i have osgood slotters syndrome (however its spelled) and said it would be done soon, like from weeks to two months max, and i could keep on with my athletic pursuits.  well now its been eight months and both of my knees are in pain, i have been wearing a patella band on the left, and wrappin the right for quite some time now.  and it has no sigh of getting better.  in fact, its getting a little worse.  i know i need to back off, but how long do you think it will be?  i am 15 years old and have grown an inch and a half since the last checkup.  do you think it will stop when i stop growing?  or did i just so happen to screw up my knees with al of these flips i do?

Freerunning / transiton dleg > side?
« on: November 25, 2010, 09:25:35 PM »
i have my double leggers along with many other flips down perfect, but not my side (kinda pathetic i know).  i just kinda suck at them.  is there any way to tweak your dleg and make a transition to sideflip by the knowlege you already have with dlegs?

oh, and just another question, are there dleg swing throughs, it seems like there could be but i never see anyone do them.

thanks

« on: October 02, 2010, 10:15:53 PM »
At my karate dojo they have a tricking team that i was just invited onto, so i started watching a couple videos that they have.  they are from a while ago, but most of the same people are there.  And here in this video my sensei spencer does a fancy barrel roll looking thing and i dont know what it is exactly because i've never seen it anywhere else done like that.

the trick is at 1:15

If anyone could tell me what it is, then that will be greatly apreciated.

Pics & Vids / b twist

i finally landed it, and i got it on film.  but i wasn't able to edit the film because i have a stupid camera that films in .mov format and any converter i have used either doesnt work or puts a stupid banner in the middle because it was a free version.  i have no money to spend on video editing...  so you just have to watch the raw footage... oh joy!

i obviously need help with my technique or else i would be landing it better... i mea, like i have a 30" vertical, so i can jump higher then that.  any help would be appreciated.

Parkour And Freerunning / school mascot!
« on: September 10, 2010, 01:33:35 PM »
at school today i saw a sign to sign up to be the school mascot, so after school i went into the designated room and they were asking for tumbling skills and everyone was like umm... cartwheel?  and i said what i do, and what i can do and they were amazed and are seriously considering me for the mascot!

has anyone else here been one?  if so, how different is the tumbling with the costume on?

Tricking / now what?
« on: August 23, 2010, 10:00:48 PM »
i can do 540 kicks, sideswipes, backflips, wallspins, and what not.  i go to open gyms pretty frequently and i just dont know what to learn now.  is it time to get  serious and man up for some fulls and gainers and stuff?  i just started about a month ago but i have a 5 year karate background.  i have had no official lessons for tricking, so its all self taught with a lot of youtube.  i DONT have a camera but i have been trying to get one soon.

so yeah i've passed all of the basics, and now i just dont know what to do next.

oh, and i havent attempted sideflips yet.  i will as soon as possible though.

Movement / B twist help
« on: August 09, 2010, 07:52:49 PM »
I can do barrel rolls off of a ledge and land on the same leg i jumped off of, but i cant do B twiats. i do the same amount of rotation but i just spun the other way.  when i try a B twist o dont get enough rotation and land on my back.  or i just psych out and roll out of it.  i have watched every tutorial out there so those arent going to help.
any tips?
