Uh.. Brown Park on 15th and U is where I did my first elevated backtuck..

and the ball park down the hill from there has some benchs and whatnot..

maybe that'd be some help to you.

HEY! i was recently just out driving around and i  visited SHADOW RIDGE MALL,  it is Located  on Highway 370 and 72nd Street. and OMG there were tons of rails, walls, there was a place with a water fountain that was elevated off the ground, and tons of places to trane. SWEET SPOT!!! check it out and see for yourself.

Alright well im no expert and i personally haven't done them a whole lot. But what i see that really helps to keep from bringing your feet down onto whatever your jumping is to really arch your back and pull your legs up as high as possible. so that your feet are higher than your head, it's kinda scary at first cuz you feel like your gonna have a makeout session with the obstacle or ground, but as long as you can keep your hands in front of you your fine. SO....

run to obstacle--jump early and high/hard-- get feet extra high--as your hands are leaving there SECOND spot and your going to land--tuck knees to chest and roll back to get feet in front of you-- extend legs and land in a rellativly standing position.

that might be confusing but if you think through each of those and see it in your head, it will all come together perfectly. Hope that helps though

Alright everyone, i know many of you are very good and train often, but there are those of us who need some help with motivation and knowledge on moves and training.  So...Please post anything that you feel will help anyone to improve technique and strength.  Do you have a favorite work out that really kills your legs and helps with jump height and distance? or upper body and back strength? ect...  What variations have you found to add to some more basic or advanced skills?

well, my best friend and started last summer, but he seemed like he really wasn't into it, so  he pretty much stopped. i have done some training, but mostly with a gym. doing lifts and stretching. I don't have much of anything to really practice parkour on/in/around/ect... and so far the only tricking i can do includes: cart wheels one hand/two hand, kick-up, front handspring, and thats pretty much it. I can do most parkour moves but my balance/precision, and handstand balance is kinda low. but im pretty decent, most of my issues are just fear. But really,l im not bad, i just need some practice and a critical eye to tell me what im doing wrong and right.lol

yeah i get what your saying, yeah i could try. Oh and i do get horrid gas mpg, i got a shitty ford with a busted tranny that skips 2 gear and slips if i push the peddle too hard, but anyway, yeah i will try to make it at least once....how about like next friday. and do you meet pm or am. and do i just bring 9 bucks to get in and wear what...gym shorts & t-shirt?

yeah im with you on that one, i go to college then shoot to work across the street, and by the end of the day, the thought of going out and training is draining. I want to but i know i don't got the energy to do anything right and learn much of anything new. But summer is here in a few weeks! so i hope to see you all out there around town.
