Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Have You Seen Him?

i had the opportunity to meet pk mom, actually, and her letter was the only reason (still, today) that my mom doesn't completely freak out when i go to a jam. Awesome lady, that pkMom.

Shout out to seattle traceurs, but anybody can help!
Was anybody around like 2-3 years ago when it was just urbanfreeflow (except for those frauds ruralfreeflow) and you could google image parkour and like 2 pictures would come up? Well that's when I met Moksha Matt. I read about pk in allure magazine (yes im a guy, yes that's wierd) and i found uf online. i was so excited when i found out that uf had two representatives in the states, ando and moksha matt (Matt Stewart), and that matt lived 30 minutes from me (odd in in the middle of the desert). I got in touch with him and we'd jam like once a week. this went on for about a year until some more people started showing up. Me and Matt would show them what was what and never saw them again. Matt traveled to England to meet up with the ufkrew, and took some videos. we did a news spot, and the scene started getting some hype. and then, one day, i got an email from matt saying he was moving to seattle by himself and that was that. i saw him at a concert a couple months later and he said he was for sure heading out. that was the last i heard from him, and that was about a year ago. He must have changed his email adress, because his old one gets me nothing, and that was the only form of contact i had with him. Sorry for the sob story, guys, just wanting to get in touch with an old friend. by the way here's the link to that news article.
and my uf forum name back then was mufnman9, in case that helps
Thanks a lot!

Arizona / Re: Questions for Jam on 28th?
« on: October 25, 2006, 08:40:45 PM »
thanks for helping out so much with this jam, rek. that's my question, i guess.  :P. This is one of the coolest things about pk to me, that i can propose a time and place, and i know there are people who ive never even met who live over 1.5 hours from me who have my back and wil rep the thing like its their wedding or something! Just rambling, but seriously, thanks alot.

heres a news shoot we did a few years back at ASU West, actually, so there's a few spots on there, but honestly just exploring the campus early on a saturday morning is one of the most fun things ive ever done.

hey Jiminy, you're lucky to live around ASU West... that place is by far my favorite jam spot ever. When Moksha Matt was in the scene, he trained there every day.

Hey Matt, if you're reading this, where the heck are you? it's chet and AZ misses you!

Hey tigerman!
I am one of the members of tfb (thefactorybrigade) and ASU is pretty much our favorite spot to jam. we haven't been training as of recently due to insane heat, but once the weather cools down a bit we'll be back in full force. keep an eye out.

I loved who's line is it anyway, but that new "drew carey x-treeeeeeem green screen show" or whatever is pretty lame.

That's odd, I wonder why. I never saw you as a negative influence or a bad member or anything...

I'm having a hard time giving up my uf account because I've been there (on 2 different accounts) since 2003. Everyone from the Arizona area always talks on that forum instead of the designated AZ forum which I set up a while ago (hence the 75 pages  :o ). The only reason I'm still there is for that, local discussion, but I hate being part of such a hateful community. Sometimes I'll read threads in "the otherground" as it's now called, and an example of a contributive post is "yea i agree wit u m8  :)" or "wot u no yous just a n00b you ar totally rong". It really disgusts me how low the standards are there. Here, a typical post is about a paragraph long, fully addressing the topic and understandingly giving an opinion, It's way more helpful and complete being a part of these boards.

And frosti: without beer commercials, this place would be totally lacking. :P

AZ Jams / ASU-Nelson Fine Arts Center-12/28/05-9AM
« on: December 26, 2005, 10:10:17 AM »
Wednesday will see a massive AZ jam at ASU, with traceurs from over 4 cities!! Tim, an amazing traceur from the Undead Porcupines in Tucson will be there. Don't be shy to come if you're still new to the sport, there will be plenty of experience to pass around. Meet at the Nelson Fine Arts Center at around 9AM. We'll move on by 9:30-ish, so if you're late, you'll have to scavenge the campus to find us. I'll be bringing my camera, so don't worry about bringing one. Pack a cell phone, some water, and maybe some band-aids too (you never know) and get ready for a good time! Hope to see you there!
