Parkour / Sorry. More roll tips needed. For the EXTREMELY bony person.
« on: September 21, 2015, 08:48:40 PM »
First of all. To clear this up, I am extremely bony and skinny. So this lack of meat and muscle means less padding and cushion for my roll. Any tips for this issue besides tucking more? I'm working on that currently.

Thanks!!

Parkour / Roll Tips?
« on: April 26, 2015, 05:33:31 PM »
Hey everyone.
I am still a beginner so I'm really working on my roll technique. As of now, I'm scared of rolling on concrete and such because I seem to kinda slam into the surface as I'm rolling. Do I just need to land softer? Also, I sometimes roll directly on my shoulder before going back I stead of tolling on the back of my shoulder. Any suggestions or tips on how to make my form improve?

Feel free to check out our site www.bamvmnt.com :) There are also some really cool Parkour groups in San Jose, feel free to check out the facebook page of the SAN JOSE PARKOUR TEAM or you can google the Bay Area Parkour page. Everyone is really cool and super welcoming of beginners.

Consumer Whores / What's the difference??
« on: January 19, 2015, 12:25:30 PM »
Ok. As a few of you know, I'm on a hunt for some new shoes for pk. After consulting my parkour instructor, I have decided to get some Asics Onitsuka Tiger Ultamate 81s. But, my price budget is no more than $40 and the Tigers are more than that. Then I found these:

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between these and the regular Tigers besides the name and price?

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: What skinny jeans are good for parkour?
« on: January 19, 2015, 11:18:37 AM »
It's quite simple. If it impedes/restricts you, it's not ideal. I hate baggy clothes because they snag easier. Tight clothes bind/restrict movement.

I wear fitting sweatpants (Medium, in case you're wondering) or combats. Combats are designed to be hard wearing, so survive sliding etc better, and at least in the ones I wear (Helikon) non restrictive.
Good point on the snagging part

I'm still a noob but personally, I think that skinny jeans will inhibit movement and make things more complicated than they need to be… Also, why get a potentially $30 pair of jeans where you can get four pairs of sweatpants for the same price of the jeans at Target?

Ok. After trying someone else's, I thought these were really good for the price. The grip seemed good and u just suck at wall runs on painted brick but on concrete they were great. Reviews said they were light too. What do you guys think?

Ooooooo! Nice! I'm going to order my pair of Feiyues in around 2 months... My mom won't let me get them for a while.  :'(

Yeah. Lol. I actually just found a diy mouth mount but it looks really annoying and cumbersome for parkour. What do you think?

That is so stupid. There was this cop that banned parkour from me in my own property.
sorry if I'm being naive but, is that even possible/legal?

If you know any mounts for this?
