Loss of points for using a Kanye West song...

but it's good that you're healed and ready to get back to things.

I think the reason the other person commented on the 9 ft. kong thing is just the fact that you felt it necessary to label it and point it out to us. We can see it is big and its a good accomplishment, but pointing it out like that can appear a little pretentious or attention seeking to some people. Be proud of your accomplishments but stay humble at the same time. There is no shame in showing excitement about getting something new but the reason you accomplish it is for yourself, not for showing off to others.

I stopped watching after you put "9 ft. Kong" on the video.

I have to disagree.  I thought it was ok.  He would have been a lot funnier if he had played it straight though.  The voice made me want to turn it off within the first few if he had avoided that...

But the fact that he talked about the water flowing and stuff, it shows that he actually knows something of the community, which is pretty important for parody.

Yarg!  It won't attract superficial people! But people won't join if the superficial people are constantly heckling them, so they MUST think it's cool and be impressed.
If they can't stand being heckled by other kids in high school, they need to spend time working on their sense of self worth more than free running.

If somone who is superficial joins and realizes we aren't pulling that crazy stuff, then they can quit.
Then won't those superficial people turn around and say "look at the gay jumping club, I thought it would be huge stuff, but it's just gay jumping."  And then you'll be in the same place.

This is far and away my favorite TV piece done on parkour:
That is a great piece, thank you for sharing it.

However, we can't expect every media mention of PK to be that way.  That article was made from the viewpoint of respect of the art of PK.  Most will be from the "what the heck are these kids doing?" viewpoint.  Personally, I think the iCaught piece was really positive considering they took it from the "what the heck" viewpoint.

The first time people see Parkour, they're not going to say, "I wonder if this is a way of life for them.  I wonder if this gives them a different outlook on the world."  So we can't expect the first pieces of info on PK to the general public to be all artful and fully understanding.

Just saw the piece.  Honestly I think it was very positive.  The section about injuries was very short, and honestly, PK IS dangerous, so pretending like it's not is just dumb.

They didn't counter the pro-commercial PK as well as I'd like, but I won't start up that discussion here.

Overall though, I think traceurs came across as disciplined, skilled individuals who take Parkour very seriously, and have better lives for it.

The site was super slow for me, (took me about 3 and a half minutes to find the video with all the long load times) so to save other people the time, here's a link right to the video:

We learn quickly and are progressing as one of the best teams in America simply because we train hard and we're not pussies.
You guys are really living up to your name.

I like your notebook paper logo.

2 things:

1) I think it's funny that most of them use girl centric music
2) That last chick is insane.

Pics & Vids / Re: how do you make a picture like this...

You do it by taking a rapid succession of photos, then you photoshop them together, cutting out all the extraneous stuff, and leaving only you, in the 15 or so positions.

I really like the style of this video.  Sorta guerrilla, using what you come upon.  Makes me wanna just to go wander.

Sorry if you didn't want critique on the video, but there's plenty of guys here giving your tips on your PK.

Plus, with the way a lot of kids these days seem to make posting their videos the point of their training, they should at least post decently made videos.

So no one knows of any higher quality versions of this?

You probably don't need to show 3 angles of every vault you do...might cut down the length of your videos some.

Spatial awareness note:  I think video games could definitely improve your spatial observation skills at the least...

Back on topic: Anyone know where/if I can find a higher quality version of this?  I LOVE this commercial.
