That is my next buy right there, if only it was on a tripod

Thank you for that. I had actually been thinking it was the opposite way around, so it's good for correction. I didn't want to mess up on this since some people I've seen when browsing around get really annoyed.

But now it makes a bit more sense. FreeRUNNING and FreeSTYLE both being a little less about practicality and more about having fun with it.

I wanted to check it out, but I could only find the latest chapter. Might I pester you for a direct link to the first part, by chance?

I watched it, and loved it. I'll probably re-watch it a few more times throughout the scripting to offer some inspiration. Thanks for the link! Here's a link to all of the creative writing

avoid vegetable or seed oils or butters
Is there any difference between a natural butter and the raw state of something like an almond? (other than added salt)

Yeah it sounds pretty interesting man, I'd love to read it. I hate nit picking on the difference between the two but basically Freerunning is a less efficient form of Parkour (i.e its more about freestyle movements like flips, sit turns, etc.) and Parkour is straight up A to B the fastest way possible, but it's all movement. On the question of what to refer to it as; discipline, sport, movement, philosophy, etc its different things for different people.

We currently have a short story a guy name Gabe writes here on APK called RISE, you might want to take a look at it. Also in the realm of must watch videos that could give you some ideas its fairly new but great.

Here's RISE,21348.0.html

Looks good as long as there's not hydrogenated vegetable oils or added sugar (or any other processed crap). I might actually buy some and try it, I love sunflower seeds  :)

Since it is Fox News I can't trust the article.  At all.  But I dug up the actual suit found here.

Anyway, the claims being made a ridiculous.  If she can win based on those shoddy facts and logical fallacies, I am going to start suing the grain industry for the same thing, albeit with sound arguments and good facts.

Think about it.  I can make a fortune!  But no...  Nutella isn't healthful, but not because of the claims made in the suit or by fox news (Yes Fox News, they're called healthFUL foods, not healthY foods.  Lern2grammer.)
First website that came up but they are falsely advertising as a healthful food.

« on: February 11, 2011, 10:16:31 AM »
but i saw some of your handstands videos and how can you stay so much time without moving your hands?
I read the article two days a go but it didnt realy help me.
Any special training?

about avatar, do you think is really ofensive? i thought it was "funny". well i will change it

Just by what was in the article, when I first started doing handstands (and even sometimes now) I dip my arms to keep my weight forward if I am underbalanced and if I felt I was falling backwards flex my abs and push on the front of my palm as hard as I can. I'm kind of a natural and hand balancing so I don't do anything except constantly train handstands.

And its not offensive to me, but it could be to other people.

One last recent thing to add

Nutella is being sued over false nutritional advertising.

Nice work, I couldn't really see the angle of your back, but make sure its not arching heavily. You can fix this by looking through your arms a little more and tightening your core a little bit. If you feel yourself losing balance try some of the things explained in this article

Oh and just giving you a heads up, you might want to change your avatar. It could see as offensive which is against forum rules.

Movement / Re: Most Common Obstacles

Empty space is the hardest obstacle I find just because we don't really train for flat out sprinting across a distance of greater than 400m (usually)

Thanks for the information everyone.

One more question I had regarding Vienna sausage. It would seem obvious to avoid them due to the RIDICULOUS amount of sodium they contain [And yes, canned meat isn't the best]
I'm not worried about them as I rarely eat them as a snack, but I want everyone's personal opinion regarding the food.

: Sausage: Mechanically Separated Chicken, Water, Beef, Pork, Salt, Corn Syrup, Contains 2% or Less of: Natural Flavors, Garlic Powder, Sodium Nitrite, Dextrose. Broth: Chicken Broth.

Ah yes mechanically separated chicken, sodium nitrate, and corn syrup. Yum...  ;) unless you're extremely broke, don't eat these (and even if you are broke, a gallon of whole milk costs like 3 bucks and will make a better snack than these)

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Does this seem painful to watch?
« on: February 10, 2011, 04:24:47 PM »
They're called 'Stealth Parkour' because of their low-key jumping and their flawless rolling. Also, did anybody else notice the epic 360 at :53?! That was definitely worth at least 25 style points...
That made me laugh  :)

25 seconds of easy vaulting?
well still training
It's only 25 seconds of an hour I was outside, I didn't want to spend the whole time filming and making sure the angle looked okay and not get any training done. And its pretty icey so I wasn't doing anything big.

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Not Being SCARED
« on: February 09, 2011, 10:13:35 PM »
It is important not just to point out Danny saying you fall because of a choice (cough bullshit cough)

That's not really what I pull out of that video, its the fact that people worry about the small things and get caught up worrying about "Oh what if I clip my feet" or "what if I over rotate" and hesitate because they're not confident in a skill they know they can do. So when they get caught up they don't do the movement or have so much fear they stumble midway through whatever they're doing thereby "choosing to fall." Fear is good, but only to a extent, you can't let it control you.

There's no problem. If that's Parkour to them, and they dedicate themselves to it, then it is out duty as a community to support them. So what if there video isn't awesome, or if they're just throwing flips, that's their style and that's what they choose to do, the only thing we should do is give constructive criticism and give them support. Not say "Youre not doin pk becuz your just flipping off stuff and are practising in a gym"

sweet potato with butter and cinnamon

That right there is way more delicious than nutella and bread.

I mean come on guys, its a chocolate spread.

The arguments have been going on forever, elitist saying freerunning is stupid etc. Honestly its probably a 12 year old armchair warrior in an outrage because your movements weren't efficient  :P but seriously I just choose to ignore the arguments and let the elitists duke it out online.
