National Jams / Re: PKUSA 09-Texas- Austin-June 25th-June 28th
« on: March 06, 2009, 10:02:00 AM »
Hey, replying off of another post.  Does anyone near the jamming area planning on lodging any traceurs?  Going to do some research on hotels near the area, but if someone knows of a good motel/hotel (price)  ::) near the jam area, please let us outoftowners know.  Thank you! ;)  A handful from Arizona are planning on being there by the way.

I have one issue with a literal National jam. That is how unfair it is to the younger traceurs. I am 19 years old, by far not the youngest, but I am still on a  budget. There is no feasible way I could front the money to get to Texas, or even New York.

If your on a budget then it seems your having some type of income, especially if your willing to make it to regional jams.  I really don't think the ppl that are hosting this are saying "ONLY GO TO THIS JAM AND NO OTHERS CAUSE THIS IS PKUSA"  Their merely wanting ppl to make an effort to make something like this possible, a jam where everyone can rendezvous, and its imaged kind of like the olympics(without competition of course)  :P A place where people from all over the country can gather together who share similar interests and change the meeting location every time its thrown  I'm willing to support something like this and still attend other regional jams.

One way to help people who may not have the funds is to maybe list housing arrangements.  Thats always the big issue.  I live in AZ so I won't need to get a plan ticket which because of the economy drop are going to at least start out at $200.00.  All i can say to that is save, and economic spending.  Locations and prices of hotels near the areas we will be jamming and also if any local traceurs are willing to lodge people.   :o that'd be nice.  ;D  The Topic as already been started on the time of the event so that way you can start your planning/saving methods.

AZ Jams / STATE WIDE JAM!!!!!! head count!
« on: October 28, 2008, 04:22:46 PM »
Its Rek, I've seen a few posts on the subject and a few ideas thrown.  Lets get a head count of who can come and on what days so we can figure out the best possible date, time, and place of the event.

EXAMPLE:

Name:  Team Moz (5)

Place:   Phoenix-Mills End Cafe or/and better spots.

Time:    December 6th? or December 13th? 10:00 am.

Reason why we picked these dates was because of the Holidays.  Its right in the middle.  Hopefully no one will be too pre-occupied with family stuff on these dates and its an early enough notice for something that should be a big event.  Saturday is a good day for those who are attending school and 10:00am is not too early nor to late  ;)
For those that are wanting it to be a FULL weekend jam or a 2 week event... please lets remember our own way of training  :D  Start out small then work up  ;) If we can centralize one main event we can make a more effeciant impact.

Peace!  Hope to see some posts

EDIT by Levi:
I created an album for the jam in the APK Gallery. Anyone should be able to create their own sub-album and upload their pics from the jam. http://www.americanparkour.com/gallery2/v/jams/2008/copk08/
