Training Journals / Will's Training Log
« on: March 02, 2009, 08:37:35 PM »
Thanks to Chris Salvato who recommended so many exercizes to me. The purpose of this log is to track my fitness progress as well as my strength in concrete training.

As of now, I am very unsatisfied with my strength and energy levels, particularly in my lower body. While this log will track my conditioning for all parts of my body, I am placing a heavy emphasis on lower body plyometric drills as well as balance and knee strengthening.

I do not have any recorded benchmarks yet, so I will get them this week. I will be conditioning every other day.

Deep breath. Here's to progress!

Monday, March 2, 2009:

Lower body conditioning only.

-Stability disc drills (2 sets of 30 reps)
-Weighted calf raises (10 lb free weights)
-On stability disc (2 sets of 10)
-On ground (2 sets of 10 bursts)
-Knee exercizes on Mom's Pilates machine
-Heels together (2 sets of 20)
        -Apart (3 sets of 20)
-Knee on seat (3 sets of 20 per knee)
-One legged broads (3 sets of 10)-BENCHMARK DATA TBD
-Pistol broads (1 set of 5)-BENCHMARK DATA TBD
-Semi-Pistol Verts (2 sets of 10)

CO Jams / Family Jam-Friday 4:00 PM @ THE CAPITOL
« on: February 03, 2009, 05:18:43 PM »
Hey everyone,

Instead of the typical Cat Fountain meeting place this week, we'll be meeting a little further uptown at the Denver capitol building at about 4:00 (the gold dome...). I hope to see everyone there!

Hey everyone, instead of meeting at Cat fountain let's meet at the Spiral at Noon tomorrow (down at Riverfront Park in lower downtown) and destroy lower downtown instead of our typical 16th Street mall track.

Post up if you're comin'. Look forward to seeing you there!

Perhaps you could answer the following:

Pics & Vids / Red Robot TV Shoot
« on: December 06, 2008, 12:36:34 PM »
Hey guys,

This is a video shoot that I did with Red Robot films (aired on and PBS Denver). It's an interview of me as a highschool traceur. I'm personally disappointed that they didn't include the part where I said I don't really care about the difference between Parkour and Freerunning, I just like the art of movement...That's ok though. It was informative and fun to do. Enjoy!

Consumer Whores / Vibram Sizing?
« on: December 04, 2008, 12:19:16 AM »
Hey Fivefingerers,

I'm looking at getting a pair of em, and I wear a 9 in Ariakes or a 9.5 in Freerunners. Can someone suggest a size for me? Do they run small or big?

Also, I read something a while back about the shoes getting smelly because you can't really wear socks with them. Is this how it goes? Or is it highly rec. to buy little finger socks?

Socialize / Fellowship of Christian Traceurs (International)
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:49:03 PM »
Hey APK,

I have been working out the logistics of this organization for a while, talking with many people ranging from Chase Armitage over with 3run, to local traceurs in Denver. I take pride in the fact that I am a 'Jesus Freak' to quote DCTalk, and I know that there are a lot of other traceurs out there who do as well. This is it. This is what all of us have been waiting for. The only way to get this program moving is to start small. I'm starting this with a Facebook Page called "Fellowship of Christian Traceurs" with 'international' in parentheses because I hope that everyone from around the globe can come together. I have lots of hopes and ideas for the future, but we need to start somewhere. PM me if you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the group. Otherwise, I hope that this reaches out to those who share the faith!
