Jason pretty much said it for me. Train the simplest form of each movement, and then progress into more difficult things in time.

Adam and Brett really said most of what I was going to suggest; there's nothing really that we can tell you to make your own movement more aesthetically pleasing for yourself and others. Even if we did make specific suggestions for adapting and improving eccentricities in your movement, you wouldn't be any nearer to relaxed and comfortable movement, because instead of focusing on doing what feels right, you would be preoccupied in how your movement looks from an outsider's perspective. Drill basics and try to break each movement down to its core and the simplest form and become comfortable and relaxed whilst engaged in any movement, and take it slowly from there. Good luck!

You can train any sort of movement that you want to in rainy/snowy weather! In fact, finding safe ways to train difficult movements in less-than-ideal conditions is really fun and satisfying. You just need to be extra-careful :)

Side note: please change the subject of this thread to something a little more descriptive/indicative of the subject matter (i.e. Rain Training, Training in Rain/Snow, etc.). Thanks!

Some searching concluded that's pronounced something like fay-YWEH??? Haha. Kinda like the last name Yue.

Most of my friends who own them call them Fay-you's like Gabe said, but I have a few friends who swear to their death that it is Fay-you-ee...

Seems kind of similar to the Vibram/Veebram issue.

They also have super thick soles. High heels and soles can cause poor running and movement mechanics, upping the chances of injury. I don't doubt they're cheaper and good for training but purely on a longevity standpoint, I prefer something closer to the ground. The Bullets aren't ideal sole-wise but they're better than most. And IMO they look cooler :P

From what I've been told by endless amounts of others, Feiyues are the best. Personally I've never used them though.

I really enjoy Onitsuka Tigers, from Asics. They were about $60 I believe, so they just slip in under your budget, and I've been very satisfied with them.

Hm. Interesting read, and interesting concept. Obviously it has huge potential, but I'm not sure that I'm personally the biggest fan of the idea, especially of the potential relation/branch to draw to parkour. I've always been a firm believer in the inability to understand pain and failure unless you've really felt, seen, and experienced pain and failure. This treatment may dramatically increase your ability to develop the neurological connections needed to become skillful at something, but it won't create memories and experiences of the endless amounts of trials and errors that come with repeated training.

i just taught my friend how to do a kong and now he has it on lock down, so heres how i will explain this,
1 get comfortable doing a run up handstand on the obstacle
2 once you feel good about it, your gonna run at it, with your shoulders kinda down and as parallel to the obstacle as you can
3 superman dive, flick your feet up while you dive, you have to commit to it, but the key to it,in my opinion, is getting your feet  higher than you shoulders
4 your hands will land, with your feet still above your shoulders,keeping your head up and spotting the landing, then push back with your hands, head up, bring your knees to you chest
5 land
i find that keeping your feet above you shoulders turns your body into a spring because you snap your legs to your chest, good luck man, let me know how it goes

While I'm sure this method of training will work for some, I'm not sure it's the safest route to take, especially if training alone.
