Dude, I would love to be in New York City if this happens. I'll be standing on top of the Empire State Building watching all the chaos ensue.

Also, since I am a pilot I really hope I don't have to fly the day this happens.

you can always call in sick on 12/20. or (mysteriously) be missing. or have a family member die (fake of course, i don't wish death or harm to anyone except racists, haters, or the guy who invented captain crunch (cuts the roof of my mouth).   :'(

Mad props to Jackson Miller(magnabey), for his avitar pic looking like the supreme male model.  No offense, really. I laughed because he stood out while some are movement pics, some drawings (like mine) and some are random cute things like bunnies and monkeys, his was so serious that it made me laugh. Thanks bro, you just brightened up an otherwise shitty day.

have you ever seen those orange triangular shaped parking barriers that are filled with water so that they can be moved around?  take the plug off of one ( simple screw on) then wait for 1 hour. come back with a truck and STEAL IT. ( David Lee does not advocate the cool, cool crime of thievery) ;)

Here's a point of view I haven't seen here yet:  What about any women observing?  If some punk is being a jerk to you, and you just keep cool but stand firm, take some hits if you need to, chicks will really dig it (most of the time), just don't be a wimp about it.  Stand strong.

thats completely out of focus. youre NOT doing this to impress people. and i know plenty of women who would call me down-right stupid if they even thought that i was doing that for them to notice me more.

Exactly; this kind of chauvinism and lack of humility and compassion is one of the biggest problems of the prototypically American mindset.

I apologize, I thought it clear that this was a joke, but I suppose not.  My bad.

I believe that everything that starts out as a form of expression and individuality (skateboarding, rollerblading, bmx, martial arts, music, language, race, ect) inevitably is graded and forced into performace or competition, but more often than not, both.  This is because everyone likes to be entertained and we all rank everything.  There's nothing wrong with this, this is just how people are programmed.  Some people reject the idea of commercialization and kill themselves in protest. This doesn't stop anything.  I believe that those who are ""of flow" will ride with the tide and know that this is the way of the world.  Comlete philosophy of fluidity

I watched the matrix.... again. When i went to sleep i had this wierd dream where i pretty much re-did every scene where they have to run from an agent.  But instead of regular agents, they were david belle, sebastian foucan, and the beast from beauty and the beast (don't laugh yet, watch the movie and tell me you could out run him). in the dream i stared out straight pwning them, running across a matrix/ mirrors edge style city, perfectly set up for my particular brand of movement. everything was cool until i noticed that they were gaining on me, fast. i started to scramble, and my movements became confusing to me, (you know the feeling you get when you're in a crowd and mulitple people start shooting). i fell from like the top of the sears tower. i tried to roll it but i died.  Then for some reason, i woke up laughing. Am i crazy?

I guess the reason that the boards in arkansas are so dead is because everyone is out training or jamming. WOOT (i mean.. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT PIG SOOIE!)   anyway, i know you've all seen the  wooden barriers, that people use to train for vault and drop training, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqsZ24zGmZ8&feature=player_embedded i was wondering. where to get on or how to make one.

Also, anyone in little rock training?

Any gymnasiums close to little rock that allow pk training?

Wanna Jam? Know any good spots close by?

Please... please wake up LR metro!!!!

I don't know. Sometimes it takes all the balls in the world to turn and run. Survival is not for the faint-hearted. I think it depends on the situation.  If you run away because you're afraid, that's different from walking away because you're bigger than the situation. Also if you fight a losing battle because you belive in your cause, it's way better than beating the ass off someone because you know you can win the fight.

Awesome.  these are just the types of responses i was hoping to get.  It seems to me that we've tapped into the great training paradox. We train in a violent way in order to avoid violence.  We train to run in order to not have to, I guess.

You know when you train to react to a certain punch, kick, grab, ect., then, in some situation your antagonist uses that exact move, (just like a karate kid movie) your instincts and muscle memory takes over and your reaction is flawless.  Is that happening to anyone out there now, except with parkour's movements.  Right now, at least for me, I pwn everyone in games. But when the panic and adreanaline takes over, will I instinctually run to safe places based on knowledge that i can reach places that the untrained person can't.

Oh, thanks for these posts, everyone.  I pretty much agree with every single one.   "Duality of thought"

I've practiced martial arts since i was 4.  My first instinct growing up was always to fight. I was wondering is there a point when, i become so comfortable with my ability to avoid rather than confont, that my instinct will be to run 9 times out of 10? Any thoughts?
