Ahh! That's aweful! IIRC it does some pretty nasty shit to people. Have you fully recovered?
"Nasty Shit"... Thats about right!! :P  And No.. I have not fully recovered. Still having some side effects... :( But At least I can get around now. My leg where it bit me was super swollen for a while. Now I am just having severe headaches and some vomiting... For 2 stupid weeks!! But The effects are getting less and less now.

You should VERY much like me 2 years ago.  I used to have claustrophobia and acrophobia... and had them bad. I have a feeling that lots of people are like that. And u may have noticed that I said USED to have. I used some simple self discipline techniques such as Systematic Psychological Desensitization... Look it up. Its hard to explain but an easy concept. Now I have 100% Zero fear of either of those things... Hope this helps!

So I still have a lack of protein around so today I did lots of swimming, a basic abdominal workout, and cardio.  Also practiced my flips into the pool. Oh!  And I heard about a good park for parkour in SpringField MO!  Founders park is what it is called I think. I got directions to it and will be checking it out soon!  If anyone else knows good places in Springfield please respond and tell me!

I would not use converse... most of them have no impact absorption and often horrid grip.  Both of which u need. Vans... I have no experience with them... so yeah..

That sounds AWESOME. I've always wanted to go traveling around and visiting places. Post up some pictures and videos of all the states you go to!
I will!  Maybe I will even upload some videos if I find some good spots!  :D

It really does not hurt at all!  Its crazy... you expect it to hurt but it really is nothing... but that hard part is getting your mind to actually remember that b4 u flip! I still can't flip cause I have that stupid fear cause I think it will hurt!  Sigh... I have failed multiple times but it has never hurt.  Or course don't do it on cement or rocks... do it on grass or wood chips!

Man I am tired and sore!  Also, I did some simple handstand practice in my room last night... that was fun. :D  Slowly but surely my abdominals are recovering... but its hard.  Sigh... injuries suck!  Dont't get em!  ;)

Sadly I am pretty busy to day but I did get outside in the -15 degree weather to do some fun stuff!  I do a workout On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and I reserve Wednesday and Saturday for parkour!  Today is Wednesday. Random person:"Do you think I am stupid?!?!" Me:"Uhh... sure!"  Hahah... srry.
Anyways, today I mastered my Dash Vault!!!! *Proud Face*  ;D  I Really don't know why it has taken me so long tho. This vault should be easier than a ton of things I have already learned but whatever...
Other than that I practiced the rest of the basic vaults a bunch... and did like 100 single handed cart wheels. And Worked on my front handspring a little bit.

Hello fellow Traceurs! Welcome to my training journal. Anyways, for the past year (2014) my family has been working on a partnership with Convoy of Hope a super big international Humanitarian-relief organization, and now we have officially joined Convoy of hope and will be traveling all over the United States for 4 years. We are leaving on January 19th. As a Traceur all of this traveling will present a HUGE opportunity to meet with fellow Traceurs and train in many different places. I am super excited to get moving and traveling the U.S... Like really excited!

Now about myself. I am 15 years old and have been doing parkour for 4 months now... I have known about parkour for about a year I think, and I am home schooled (of course... how else would I travel the U.S.).  Sadly when I was younger I had a major injury which will haunt me my whole life. I am still trying to recover from it. I fell 25ft from a tree and broke my hip in 2 places and tore my abdominals. Because of this injury I have had many problems getting started on parkour but I am slowly rehabilitating.

Anyways, Here is my my “Before” list that I will update every once in a while.
1. 8 second Handstand
2. Perfect Cartwheel and round off
3. Almost have handspring
4. Good at Kong and Kash Vaults
5. Don’t have Dash vault yet
6. Medium at Cat grabs and kip ups
7. Front Flip off of elevated objects
8. No other flips yet… even off of elevated objects
9. Know almost all basic parkour moves…
10. Medium flexibility

Full Center Splits

Full Butterfly Stretch

Stretching those quads

Oh... And I have full wall splits and almost full Side splits... In case you were wondering... :D
Well... Thats it!  Can't wait for this amazing adventure!

Welcome! / Re: What techniques/moves should I learn next?

Sounds like you have a good grasp on parkour! I wish I would have started when I was 12.  Anyways, I would advise focusing on working out and gaining strength now... not going to the gym but bodyweight workouts. I always thought that you did not really have to be that strong for most parkour moves but as I started working out it was AMAZING how fast I progressed! Since you are only 12 make sure you are careful to not over do yourself though. Some exercises I would advise are:
Planks (Works Abdominals... very important for balance, speed, explosiveness, jumping... Pretty much everything),
Leg workouts. (Box Jumps, Squats, Jumping Squats, One leg squats, calve exercises)
Pushups. (There are TONS of kinds of pushups that you can do to increase your upper body strength. If you only can do a few you can always improvise And do them "girl style". With your knees touching the ground)
Also, flexibility is VERY key to success in any sport really. It increases your jump hight and speed so much. I personally can vouch for that. My legs may not seem that strong but I can jump really high compared to people with really strong legs. I am very flexible.
I hope this helps!

Do you know where/when?
I do not know really... :\  My family will be traveling for about 4 years to many places.  We are working with Convoy of Hope a disaster response thingy.  We go wherever they tell us. But we don't just do disasters. So I really have no clue.
