North Carolina / Visiting Raleigh...
« on: July 13, 2012, 06:23:46 PM »
Hello. I'm a beginner traceuse from Oregon, but I'll be visiting Raleigh for three weeks starting the 16th, and it would be nice to meet some of the traceurs in the area. If anyone wants someone to train with from July 16th to August 3rd, let me know.  :)

Make sure you drink your water too you should be drinking up to 3L of water a day to stay on a healthy diet.

More specifically, you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces every day for moderate activity levels, and more if you're working out (or doing parkour). So if you weigh 200lbs, you should be drinking 100 ounces of water every day, adding on or subtracting as needed for the amount of exercise you get.

Sorry, will stop with the nutrition info now. ^^'

Hello!

I'm Amorena, 5'2", about 180 lbs. I started trying to get in shape about four months ago after finding out about parkour. No weight loss yet, but that's not really my goal anyway. My mother is a nutrition therapist, so I know the kind of diet I should be eating, but I don't quite have motivation to do it yet. My diet isn't horrible as it is, but it could be better (I need to drop all sugar and figure out how to enjoy cooking).

I think my main challenge right now is just getting exercise. It's really hot in Oregon right now, and I'm hypersensitive to heat, so I'm having trouble finding a good time to get out and exercise. I go out late at night and run around my little neighborhood park a bit, jump around on benches, practice my rolls, do some stretching, and that's about it. *waits eagerly for cooler weather*

Hello!

My account finally started working today. Hopefully it'll continue to work.  :-\

I'm new to parkour, but I really wonder how I never came across it before.

I live in Albany, OR, and am going to college in Eugene. If anyone is in Albany or Eugene and wants to meet up, I'd be happy to, but I doubt I'd be particularly fun to practice with *is horribly un-fit at the moment*.

Sooo... yeah. Hi. ^^'
