Movement / Take off leg
« on: February 09, 2006, 07:06:34 AM »
I was wondering if the leg I take off with matters for vaults and just jumps. would it be a good idea it train up my less dominant leg so that I could take off from any vault or jump with either leg? The reason I ask this is because for "lazy vaults" it seems to matter more for the technique, I don't know about other vaults, and if in general that will cause problems later as far as muscle development and anything else. I have noticed that for every technique I use my right leg (my dominant). Is this a problem?

Diet / VEG
« on: November 21, 2005, 07:04:49 PM »
any other traceurs, on the forum, vegetarians or vegans perhaps? I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian I watch what I eat pretty well like protein in take, lots of nuts, and other things to give me energy.  yep don't eat meant of any kind now for like the last 2 months straight ;) and before that I was vegetarian for about 2 years but then got lazy for awhile and started to eat fish and fowl :-\. but back on the vegetarian diet again I feel way better not eating meats.
so back to the original question. :P Anybody else out there follow a Veg Diet and why?

Movement / Saut de Chat / Kong Vault - Exit Distance
« on: November 21, 2005, 05:43:44 PM »
How do you get large amounts of distance, 3 - 4+ feet, from a saut de chat? I have trouble with this I tend to drop like 1-2feet in front of the vaulted object.

so post up where you are from in Cali and if you have a crew you practice with post up the name and maybe some info about yourself and the crew.

I am from LA county way in the burbs tho where the 57 and 60 meet.
no crew but getting many of people into Parkour just by doing what I do. many friends are now interested in trying it. there are only three people in the immediate area that I am aware of that practice Parkour or free-running :'(, my brother, a friend and me. And only two traceurs my friend is a free-runner (he says it is more enjoyable for him)
