Consumer Whores / Five Ten Daescent review
« on: June 28, 2010, 05:28:39 AM »
FIT:
Let's start off with this, they run half a size small, and I could only wear very thin, or no socks.   7/10

FLEXIBILITY:
These shoes are very flexible but 7/10 because i have used way more flexible shoes.

WEIGHT:
Daescents are a very light shoe, earning a 10/10 from me.

GRIP:
Okay here is my honest opinion. Putting it blatantly the grip sucks. Don't get me wrong, on rough textured surfaces it rules, but on anything smooth or slick, my foot would slide like skates on an ice rink (even after breaking in). 5/10

BREATHABILITY:
Very breathable. 10/10

CUSHIONING:
Okay some people think that they are minimalistic, and i agree, but once again I have used shoes with less cushioning, excluding fivefingers.
7/10

Durability
Durable 8/10

Price
I think that it's too expensive for a shoe, but then again around the same price as ariakes, and fivefingers.

GENERAL COMMENTS:
None.

The Bottom Line:
I wil not buy these shoes again, nor recommend them to anyone. I personally hate them. 6/10

Pros: Great grip on textured surfaces
Little cushioning
light
breathable
Cons: TERRIBLE grip on smooth
Price
The fit.

Consumer Whores / A hard choice.
« on: May 02, 2010, 02:33:23 PM »
I have a question for you guys. Should I save up a while and buy Ariake Lite Mesh, or use the money i have now to buy the Urban Tool sports holster? What do you pick and why? Also i have a pair of vibram fivefingers so none of the Vibram crap. One or the other, with the exception of backpack suggestions.
