« on: January 14, 2010, 08:25:28 AM »
Hey what's up guys, my name is Stephen and I'm part of TXPK.  I have a friend of mine that lives in New Orleans and I'm gonna' be coming up to see her in March.  I've been training for tid over a year and am training other people down here as far as there basics and all that good stuff.  I was wondering if there was a way when I get an official date there could be a jam or something that I can attend?  One of the things I aim for no matter where I go is to find more people to train with.  Just let me know what's up.  And if a full jam can't happen then just let me know if anyone wants to train probly in mid march!

This video isn't as flashy as most PK/freerun videos.  This was made about 4 months ago when I was hitting the 1 year mark and covers from when I first started to the 1 year point.  Figured I'd share it...

Parkour And Freerunning / Has this happened to anyone else?
« on: February 19, 2009, 05:25:03 AM »
A few days ago I was doing just standard workouts and learned how to do (don't know the actual name for it) what I was calling a tac-vault (tacking off a high wall perpindicular to the rail you're vaulting with one hand). I got it right the 1st time, then did it about 10 more times to make sure I had it then the group went to another part to train.  Before we left I tried the tac-vault one more time just as an exclamation point on the training day.  On that one I didn't lift my left leg high enough and busted my knee cap.

Long story shirt the next day I couldn't do the same vault again and had to go for it with both hands.  But, now I can't do turn vaults which were never a problem, and speed vaults and lazys are looking intimidating even on a waist high rail.

My question is... Has anyone else had this problem?  I'm only about 3 months into training and I'm wondering if my confidence is just shot or if I seriously messed up something in my leg and if anyone has any advice on how I can get back to where I was.  Any help is appreciated.
