CO Jams / Winter Gym Jam?
« on: January 10, 2008, 07:51:46 PM »
after many hours of looking for good deals on open gym time in various gymnastics and recreation centers i found a couple of places that have "party" reservations. the thought then crossed my mind to rent said time and have a big ol' jam-o-ramma COPK style if the will was there from the community. the cost at dardanos gymnastics is $255.00 for a two hour jam of up to 25 people. you do the math and the cost would be minimal if we could fill up the slots. logistically i dont know how feesable it is but its an idea. what do you guys think?

the breakdown and costs aswell as a photo tour is available at

if any of you have a better, cheaper, or more feesable place OR if im just an idealistic idiot with a shakey plan and you want to beat me up text style post up.

Hey guys. I'm wondering if the weekly downtown jams are still going on? If so, where and when? The thread was removed or something.

Colorado / This is a sad day for redrocks. . .
« on: June 10, 2007, 10:12:29 AM »
A couple of days ago my roommate and i were out at red rocks doing some rail training and were confronted by a security guard, whom neither of us had ever seen. This man informed us that what we were doing was in violation of the "no climbing on the rocks" rules they have posted, as it is the property of Denver County. Im not sure if the stage area and adjacent seating areas are covered by the no climbimg rules since they are man made and publicly owned. Either way we took our leave peacefully. Just as a heads up to all you red rockers, watch out for a guy in a blue shrit with long blond hair and glasses. He seems to prowel around during the hours of noon to 5 pm.

Colorado / The Importance Of Training Partners

Yesterday i was off work and decided to go on a long jam by myself. About halfway through the day i lost my cell phone and could not find it. I continued on for about two more hours before i decided to head home. On my way back i knocked my self unconcious on a bad roll attempt from about seven feet up. I can only remember climbing the sign i jumped from. I woke up at my house with no recolection of how i had made it there. This scenario could have easily landed me in the hospital, or worse, dead. Had i waited a couple of days i would have had my roommate there to call for help or at least keep me out of traffic on the way back. Buddy up just in case and if you cant, try to avoid the big obstacles because we dont know if parkour is allowed in the afterlife.
