Parkour And Freerunning / 365 Days of Parkour Challenge!
« on: February 11, 2016, 05:16:37 PM »
The APK 365 Days of PK is pretty self explanatory! It is a challenge created by Jimmy Davidson of American Parkour and The Tribe. It entails doing parkour everyday for 365 days (or 1 year :P). It doesn't require anything special to participate as long as you are willing to commit!
Here are the rules from the Facebook group
Beginners guide to the Parkour 365 Challenge!
While you can make it to be what you want, adjust the rules to meet your needs and goals.
Standard Rules: Do some form of parkour training for a minimum of 5 minutes a day. To most that means do some form of training that is specifically targeted toward improving your skills in parkour. It could be working on flow, jumps, vaults, flips, balance, conditioning, climbing, or anything that you feel is pertinent to your parkour training.
Bonus challenges/ideas:
+increase the minimum amount of time
+require yourself to film your training
+require a specific number of a specific skill each day

While it isn't mandatory to join the Facebook group, it is recommend so you have support from the community! Feel free to join the Facebook group here if you want==>https://www.facebook.com/groups/479935082217039/

It might also be a good idea to start up a personal training journal to record your journey, even if you only update it once a month at the end of the year it will be worth it to see how much you have progressed.

Make a training journal here==>http://americanparkour.com/smf/index.php/board,138.0.html

If you have any questions drop a reply below, PM me, or post a message on the Facebook group!  :D

Consumer Whores / apk Vintage Cargo Pants~Review
« on: January 22, 2016, 09:29:12 PM »
apk Vintage Cargo Pants

Comfort- These are *nearly* as comfortable as sweatpants, very rarely do I have to adjust the pants to maintain comfort. I wear a 32 in waist and ordered a medium, they fit fine even without a belt. They have these cool metal waist cinchers on either side.9/10

Quality/Durability- This is perhaps the most important part of this review as the pants and kinda expensive ($39.00) and we want to make sure we get a good product. The pants are 55% cotton and 45% polyester and pretty tuff. I don't see these ripping very easily! The stitching is good, a pair of scissors might be a good idea to snip off the ends though. I haven't had these pants long enough to make a comment on how long they will last, however a friend of mine bought a pair of these awhile back and the cargos are still in mint condition.9/10

Looks- I can easily say that these are now my most worn pair of pants. They look pretty dang awesome! I ordered the olive colored pair and I'm not disappointed! 10/10

Care- It says to wash with "warm water" but other than that no special care needed. It is gonna get dirty (we're traceurs)

Addition Comments- It is definitely worth the price, treat yourself and go for it, it is worth it.

Overall SeabassScore 10/10. I recommend these pants to anyone who needs something inbetween the comfort of sweatpants and the durability of jeans.

Consumer Whores / apk Tank-Top~Review
« on: November 09, 2015, 09:01:51 AM »
I will start by saying that this tank-top is by far my favorite one to wear. As of right now I am wearing the tank in my profile pic :P
apk Summer Tank

Comfort-It's a tank-top so not much can go wrong in the ways of comfort. 10/10

Quality/Durability- It's 100% cotton(I think) so you can't go wrong there. It is about as durable as any other tank-top but this shouldn't affect anything training wise. If you take good care of the tank-top then it will last for years I presume. 10/10

Looks- Makes you look like a ninja warrior 10/10

Care- No special care needed. It is gonna get dirty (we're traceurs) but it washes normal.

Overall SeabassScore-10/10 IGN would wear again.

This goes for pretty much all the other tank-tops in the apk store. I have bought many of them and they are all equally awesome. Pictures to come in da future

Diet / Bullet Proof diet is actually amazing!
« on: December 08, 2014, 04:32:29 AM »
The "Bulletproof" diet is awesome, you basically consume healthy fats as a clean energy source and don't eat grains.

This Christmas I'm going to try to follow the bulletproof diet and see how it goes. My goal is to do this for around 90-100 days(how long it usually takes to adjust to no grains and reduced intake of carbohydrates). If I can't do this by Christmas then I will at least try to do the butter coffee and no grains.

Tell me what you guys think! This so far has been one of the best diets I have researched. I went to a presentation about this and basically wrote the entire thing down, so ask questions for me also.

Diet / Are grains bad for you? Considering Paleolithic Diet.
« on: October 15, 2014, 06:42:12 PM »
After doing research I have discovered that milk is basically awful for you. I have heard that grains are not that wonderful for you either but have found no legitimate research to prove that grains are bad for you, any suggested websites?

Also I am considering the paleolithic diet but only if I find that grains are not beneficial to my health.

« on: September 08, 2014, 10:03:59 AM »
       Hello,
I haven't been on in a while do to school and what not, but decided to start a training journal as it can do nothing but be beneficial to me. I actually have nothing to post about my actual fitness regime because I am in school right now. Anyways I'm hoping I can keep the journal up to date and hopefully it helps me keep track of my progress as I develop into a more experienced traceur
