Gloves or no gloves, do It the way you want. or you could meet it in the middle. Do that grip tape and wrap your fingers. Its what you like.

Ive never tried it but I do like exploring stuff. Where I live there is a large old abandoned factory I always wondered what was inside it.  Might have to find some abandoned building to get into .

Colorado / Hosting event for the kids.
« on: July 25, 2010, 07:14:27 PM »
Well I went to visit a old friend in Thorton. We decided to go out for a run and we ended up passing a librarey with some good parkour spots. I started to do some parkour. I was doing a flag when a lady came out and asked me if I really just did that. I answered yes. Well she asked me what it was what I was doing and all. I told her I was doing parkour and what it was. Turns out that she was a event organizer for the librarey and she was interested in it. Well after a long conversation she asked me if I was willing to host a event for the kids. She ended up giving me her card. She told me if I was willing to host some kind of event to teach kids of all physical levels parkour. You know just to get kids out and excersise and have fun, get the community together.

Well long story short seeing if anybody was interested. Seeing if some way I could get more trecuers . or if I could get any advice.

Wow that was a mouthful.

I would conversate with you showing the pros and cons of my own decisions and my methods but I understand what your getting at.. But in the end it was a democracy of the 6 of us that first started the group and it was 4 voting for that policy and 1 opposing it. I was undecided but it didnt matter. The group decided for what the cuts were going to be. The majority of the group has the high school jock attatuide..I on the other hand am more neutral. I was overwieght in my youth but shed the wieght. So I have both attatuide since I became very active and envolved in sports.

But in the end IT IS WHAT IT IS.
Also no matter how many sentences people write and spending time messaging on this topic.
No matter how many people disagree and have there own thoughts.
The final decision has been made and I dont think no one in the group that makes the decision really has a change of mind on changing the policies. So thats that...

But then we thought to ourself well if people like it so much and want to join us lets starts a official club and spread the word and see what happends

You started a club, and people came! And then you said they couldn't come...

I knew someone was going to put that point...
And I thought it was easy to see but I guess I'll explain with this,"Who wants to be carrying around lead weight".
but thats not what I said. I sayed they could try to join us but we would have to have a try out.

Ya Friday sounds great. I'm definitely down for the traceurs vs. non-traceurs, I think everyone deserves a self confidence boost from time to time.  ;D hehe

wait.. let me think.. whats gonna seperate the traceurs from the non-traceurs.Because everyones is gonna want to be on the  traceur team and how we gonna know who really does parkour..

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: WHy are there so many Parkour haters?
« on: January 04, 2009, 06:17:05 PM »
Okay you guys know a while ago I posted about some idiotic parkour hater...well its happened again I was at a local park just rolling around and having some fun racing my friends with QM and stuff and 3 kids (not exactly athletic they were kind of computer potatoe looking kids) start laghing at us and acting like jercks so my friend and I walk up and ask "what?" they said it was "funny, parkour was such a stupid sport and you losers are doing it" I dont get it guys I have met just as many haters as traceurs in this place and its just getting weird. Parkour is only like, what 18 years old and there is this much haters of it already? Why do they hate it so much?

I guess that just happends in some parts.. Where I live some people really enjoy watching and doing parkour.
Every kind of person walks up and ask what it is and like usual when you tell them what it is they are like."Whats that?"
But after you demostrate.. They always leave sayings somethings good about it.Cool,Sounds fun,Thats amazing..Ect..

That was because we had to get rid of some people that couldnt keep up to the rest. Its not that we cut people that sucked or werent good because they were new to the sport but.. We got rid of some people that werent physically capabile to keep up to the standards..

The three of us made that decision..If were gonna be a team we need the elite.
Best of the Best,Strongest of the strongest,The fastest of the fast.

Its kinda of messed up but its the decision of the group.

Exactly. You're missing the point of a club entirely. The reason to have a club is to hold training sessions in which the newer people can learn from the more experienced people.
That doesn't mean you can't also have training sessions with just your buddies who are more talented...
Second, Good point too. Yes newer people are learning for more experienced people. But This club only started  when my friends started to parkour at school because we found some sweet spots near school. And people came up asking what we were doing?,What it is?,Can we try with you?...Ect. You know how it goes. But then we thought to ourself well if people like it so much and want to join us lets starts a official club and spread the word and see what happends. And we do hold our own sessions to brainstorm and throw ideas around for the next club meeting.. But THANK YOU both for the ideas, questions, and your thoughts..I see about changing that rule and see what the other members think.

I think it would've been better if you kept them on the team... I mean even if they were physically unfit then you're supposed to train them to be fit. The only reason I would kick people off is because they just thought it was child's play or mocked it.. which I wouldn't understand why they would come join the club in the first place.

First, You have a good point there. We did keep people that were lets say "unfit" but we kept it to a standard.
They had to atleast be able to do a pull up,be able to do a simple vault over a 4"5 foot rail, and be able to do a "decent" roll. Some people im afraid to say did "messure up" but remeber its a club started by acouple friends, and its not really a class taught by david belle or whatnot. And we are teaching by doing..And we dont really have enough people to pay extra attention to the less "athletic" to say.And we can afford to have any one getting hurt by not being abile body to do the manuvers.(I think i spelled that last word wrong)

Lol nice! This pic just gave me an Idea for a senior class prank, thanks!

Now all I need is some guerrilla glue....

I think you mean gorilla glue. Unless you plan on using militants engaging in asymmetric warfare as an adhesive.

Why NOT...If I was to use a adhesive, I would use a militant engaging in asymmetric warfare kind..Sound like the making of a legendary prank... And some really crazy strong glue.

That really sounds like some kind of commerical..." You want performance and Strength... Choose Guerrilla Glue.. The only kind for Guerrilla Warfare.."

Now, back to the matter at hand. What is your purpose for being at those heights? What I mean is, what are you doing all the way up there!!?

Well in in the neighbor hoods near my house the houses are build kinda close to eachother.. So when time is a factor I got jumpin from house to house to beat  going around the blocks. And once I got ontop of a school.
