aaron, i know a good bit about patellar tendinitis. we should get together some time and assess it. i can pretty much say for sure the root issue is your lack of hip mobility (we have talked about this and i know you were working on it). when your hips are not able to achieve a full range of motion, you will compensate by bending more at the knees and/or taking more pressure with the quadriceps which turns into the patellar tendon.   the first, most important, and most annoying step is rest.  you need to find some way to stop anything that makes it hurt and focus more on upper body movement or whatever until it is healed up enough to start some corrective exercises.

ya somehow a whole page got deleted, but i'm back into the swing of things. i'm lifting 1.5 times a week and training pk about 4 times a week.  when i lift i usually do squat, weighted dip,  muscle ups/ chins, incline DB press, then curls.  the only lift i really care about is my weighted dip and it's currently at +85 3x5.   as for parkour, i usually do 1-2 jam style high impact sessions per week and the rest are more focused on balance, flow, climb-ups, foot placement ect.   i'm trying to just go with the flow and not keep any real schedule. my only rules are never train high impact day after lifting or another high impact day, listen to my body, and enjoy.

i went on a road/camping trip for the last 3 weeks from okc to washington and everything between. i did some pk here and there, handstands, a loooot of backbacking, choping wood, and carying logs. unfortunately, my caloric intake was probably around 1000-1500 per day so i lost a ton of weight and i feel pretty sick and weak. i lost 10 lbs. if i don't end up backpacking to boulder in 2 weeks, then i will be focusing a lot of my energy toward training.

i had to take the better part of 2 weeks off due to some bad pain in my bicep tendon.  not a big dead. we prayed for it and it got straight up healed  ;D  anyway, i have trained twice and did a crappy hotel chest and shoulder workout since the injury. also been lifting a lot for work (probably why my elbow started hurting).  hoping to start training pk/mn twice a week and lifting twice a week for the summer.   actually just remembered why i didn't squat today... i kinda tweaked my back the last day of work before i went to dallas. nothing bad, i just don't wan't to push it.  i will be training pk until it feel good to go.

i just got back from a surf trip to south texas. while we were passing through Farr (sp?) Texas, we stoped at this old school BB gym.
my knee was still a little brused up from nicking it on a top out at a jam, so no squats for a little while.

weighted dip: +90x5x3
22 BW dips
chin-ups: 3x10
cable push downs: 120x10x3
cable curls 110x10x3

then i ate a whole chicken with some rice on the side.
