Title: Skipper - Remission 2008
Post by: Skipper on January 21, 2008, 01:54:52 PM
Finally got around to finishing my newest video project. I call it "Remission" for the sole reason that all my other videos start with "Re"

I filmed it in HD, but you the consumer will have no part in downloading a 1.5 gig file, so for your viewing and downloading pleasure, I give you the 15 meg version of "Skipper - Remission."

Enjoy :)

You gapped on the closed jew school in SS?!
I've always thought about going on that roof, but never made it.

Your backtuck landings! Your knees or back doesn't hurt landing like that (that big layout in the beginning sorta)

The school I shot at was in Burke Va, wheres the school in silver spring you are talking about??

And I always land like that on backs, my body is wayy to lengthy for anything else, so I do it just right so I absorb without hurting myself.

Thanks for the comments guys! :)

Also, I still have your gainer bail footy.

Dude, I need that footage. send it to me at Skipper@americanparkour.com please!!!!! hahaah I cant believe you still have that.

The park is actually the roof of an "underground" elementary school (also in Burke). Its actually probably the greatest elementary school Ive ever seen..... lots of goose poop though.... yeahhh.

haha, I did it off camera and there was a girl there and she screamed... like, really loud. So I started laughing and asked if she could do it again but she was embarrassed, so one of the other guys there was like "Yo I'll do it!"

It was pretty funny to me, so I kept it in, lol

Good stuff man, I just hate how everything looks smaller since you are kinda tall, some of those things I bet are definitely pretty impressive, keep it up man.

Haha, I know what youre talking about. I always look as something and think "man thats big" then I see it on tape compared to my size and think "man thats not how it looked from up there." But a fish-eye lens can cure that :P

Nice rolls, nice landings.  Nothing too big for you.  Front flips still look like your on a diving board...but thats some style.  I enjoyed the video.  How are you liking those shoes?

MLW, I actually love the shoes. Turns out the Ariakes are all they are cracked up to be (in my opinion, of course). And yeah, I love the way front flips feel, especially when I make them look like a springboard flip.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Nice video.  I was watching some of it and thinking how I'd like to hit up some of those spots and try some of that.  I thought the exact opposite while watching that diving video.  I wouldn't even jump off of that thing.

me either.
I can't even dive off of the 20 foot ramp at the swimming pool in my hometown.
I'm kinda afraid of heights.

Robinson High school.  Nice.  I still think that's the best spot to train at in Virginia that I've seen, period.

And I was going tos ay something about your legs looking funny when you land, but then I figured out it's just cause you're lanky.  Dude, you got REALY long legs.

Well, I had to go back and watch it again.... there wasnt a pool in the vid? what was the time of the clip that you are talking about?
And I just got a brand new sony high def camera that records to a memory card instead of tape for christmas. Forget the model of it, but it rocks.

And Robinson is good, but probably not the best spot to train in VA. Ever been to great falls? mmmmm love it!

No, never been to Great Falls (for training, anyhow), but I do imagine that it's really good.  We used to go hiking and climbing out there a lot.  But you run into snakes sometimes when you're climbing those rock faces.

1) it's a 20 meter pool with a bubbler (to break surface tension in case you f#ck up). And the platform is 10 m(I think?)
It's a diving practice facility in MD

2) Some new HD camera.

Yeah the pool is 18 feet deep and its a Sony HDR-CX7... Records to an SD card instead of tape, makes capturing easier and so much faster, and its freakin tiny.

And I remember that jam, we were all traversing across the side of a cliff when we saw a baby rattler winding up to bite Flipster. It sprung forward at him, he move over like an inch, the rattle snake missed him, ultimately falling 20 feet into the water below...... best... jam... ever. lol

There are RATTLESNAKES there!?  Okay, never climbing there again.  I only ever ran into some rat snakes and stuff.  Nothing poisonous.  I didn't even know rattlesnakes lived anywhere on the East Coast.
