It's safe if you make it safe! If you don't want to jump from roof to roof, you certainly don't have to, and in fact I strongly advise against it. If you train safe, you'll stay safe. There's an unlimited number of things that you can do low to the ground, just stay creative, and of course, safe :p

i think its safe just as long as you dont try anything you wont be able to do and you will be ok.

A large part of parkour training is learning to overcome fears. It's natural, and in fact healthy, to be afraid. Parkour can be dangerous. Even the most skilled traceurs take falls, get hurt, etc. It's a risky activity. But there are plenty of things to do to minimize that risk, and it's a good idea to start slowly and safely.

Here (http://www.americanparkour.com/content/view/887/270/) is a good starting point. There are many other helpful posts on this forum to help you get started safely. I think btay is working on putting together a beginner's guide.

Good luck!

Asking questions is never spam. (Unless you ask the same question fifty times without giving people a chance to respond... but you get the idea!)

My advice for you would be to just know your limits and push them very slowly until you feel you have a better grasp on parkour. Train the basics and core essentials such as the basic landing and roll. I cannot stress enough how important your landing is. Just be safe and most importantly, have fun doing it;D
