Princess Mononoke
Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers
The Pacific
Halo: Legends
Howl's moving castle
Spirited Away
Lord of the Rings trillogy
Pirates of the Carribian trillogy.

They should make a Mirror's Edge movie.
Seriously, that'd be freakin' epic right there.

Sin City is my favorite movie of all time.

Second on the list is the Grindhouse experience.  By that I mean watching Planet Terror and Death Proof back to back, as they were intended to be seen.

Last is Across the Universe.  Best musical ever.

If my list was longer, this would have been on it for sure
The whole movie is great but seriously how great is the Christopher Walken scene?

"Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you."

Cracks me up every time

the dark night was way over rated

im not dissing Christoper Nolan, he did a good job. but it was not as great as everyone said it was.and the only reason i got so big was because health Leger died. even though he finished ans was already filming another movie when he died. the part as the joker had nothing to do with his death.

imo his joker was not that great, he made a great bad guy but not a great joker.

if you count other forms of media outside of the comics the best joker was from the Arkham Asylum video game.

i want to see inception.

As a semi-respected movie critic I think I shall point out some things.  For one, IMHO Peaceful Warrior is the greatest movie of all time.

Second, Christian Bale is not cut out to be Batman, he's a good Bruce Wayne though.

Third, all Miyazaki films are incredible, thus far my favorite may be Howl's Moving Castle, though I've yet to see Ponyo.

There's nothing particularly good about that movie and I say that as a huge horror and exploitation fan
I'd be shocked if that was actually someone's favorite movie and less shocked if they were just saying that for cool points

Expendables was fun
Best action film ever? Nah, definitely not
I enjoyed it a lot though
That said, my criticisms: not enough gore or foul language and the film was a little too aware of its own novelty and that kind of took away from its authenticity as a throwback action film
Just sticking with Stallone even, the new Rambo movie was definitely more brutal and probably better all around
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfn7Sp6GTRs no contest even though I did like both haha

I'm super excited for Machete.

Michael Bay and his CGI crap and every other director like him have ruined the action genre. It's sad when the only guys that can make good ones are basically the same people that were doing it in the 80s.

who here likes horror movies?

I do. I think of myself as somewhat of a horror/exploitation/action film connoisseur haha.

ill look that up

Sadistic psychopaths

i have to agree, when you see scary movies where its a evil force or whatever its not as scary. i think its not as scary because we know its not possible, but with people, we all know there are some f#cked up people, and that makes it more realistic and more scary.
