Title: Canadians
Post by: Scott Ferguson on March 23, 2009, 04:26:47 PM
Glad to see we got a new board for us Canadians. How many other Canadian traceurs are there on here?

I'm from Ajax, Ontario. Just starting parkour.

Jeez, either this is a very recent post, or there are NO traceurs in Canada :\

Sup. I'm also just starting out, trying to get myself fit enough to start learning the basics. Toronto here :)

Or maybe they are just not familiar with this website. Or maybe they have not noticed the Canada section. Don't lose your hopes just yet, there are plenty hiding amongst the vastness.

There are hundreds or traceurs in the GTA, and a pretty sizeable collection in BC as well. I bet Calgary has some too.

I was in Hamilton, Ontario for a number of years.  Most of canada is handled at www.pkto.ca At least, that's all of Ontario (plus Ottawa).  The Quebecois post over at www.pkqc.ca.

Halifax/Nova Scotia: http://www.halifaxparkour.com/home.htm
Edmonton: http://www.edmontonparkour.com/
calgary:  http://www.calgaryparkour.com/
And BC:  http://pkbc.net/

Those're the big ones.  Oh, f#ck, Winnipeg has a community, too.  I forget their site, thogh.

hahahahah!! I used to work as a milk-man in Etobicoke, delivering bags of milk to Somali families in the Dixon area. I always thought it was kind of weird how they called it "homo milk".. (homo - short for homogenized).

Hey man! Sorry, I just noticed that you're originally from Sarnia. I live in the U.S. but my whole extended family is up there, I love it! I visit Sarnia like once or twice a year. :)

I'm going to make this easy for everyone:

All of Ontario congregates here:  http://www.pkto.ca
All of Quebec here:  http://www.pkqc.ca
All of BC here:  http://www.pkbc.ca
All of Winnipeg/Manitoba here: http://www.winnipegparkour.com

Alberta/Calgary used to have a website, but I can't seem to find it anymore.  I know quite a few people in each community, all great guys.  You won't find them on APK, though.

Hey I'm just starting out, though I've probably been doing Parkour long before it was a sport ^_^ here I was looking for a new gym that had not just machines with repetitive motion and look what I stumbled across http://www.nolimitsafc.com/main/ the first thought that popped into my head was "Hey that's the messed up stuff I used to do as a kid." and there I found my gym, now to relive that childhood where I used to get up on the school roof to retrieve balls XD

Hey!  I'm Canadian!  I'm from Toronto!  Also I have started a Parkour, Tricking, Rock Climbing and Break Dancing blog called Flipping Out!  I would love to hear from some fellow Canadians what they think!  I am better at tricking than I am at parkour but I plan on changing that this summer!  :)

http://flippingoutblog.blogspot.ca/ (http://flippingoutblog.blogspot.ca/)

Here is a little taste of what the blog is like:

Carl's Magical Backyard

Parkour at Brickworks

Hope you enjoy!
