Title: Hello from Colorado Springs
Post by: Zego on December 12, 2008, 09:03:17 PM
Hello APK residents,

My name's Chris.  I'm 21, a Senior at Jacksonville University, FL.  I normally live in Colorado Springs, but have been going to school in Jax, FL for a while.  I'm currently in the Navy in an officer program, so I'll probably be moving quite a bit soon enough for training and what not.  Got interested in parkour and am trying to get started in it.  Any tips and advice much appreciated.  Also wondering about groups in either the Springs or Jax that I could check out.

Thanks
Chris

Hi there Chris! Welcome to parkour! I myself live in Colorado, in the Denver area, so I know a little bit about the local groups and stuff. There are many Denver families you can check out that practice in downtown denver quite often, and there are classes taught by Ryan Ford in Denver and Boulder. I don't know much about the Springs area, but I can tell you that there are some groups down there. You could check out the Colorado forums, as well.

Happy training!   ;) Sorry if I couldn't help you too much...

Hey man welcome! I live in Denver too, and would love to meet ya sometime if you're ever in town. Colorado Springs has an excellent group of Traceurs by the way. PM (personal message) "Chris Salvato" when you're back home he can definitely help you out in getting to know everyone, etc.

Peace!
Will
