To Everybody at the Jam... Bad News.
« on: December 31, 2007, 02:09:29 PM »
Some of you may have known that we were having problems trying to get the video from the HD camera into a video editing program.

I took the tapes home after Danny tried all Saturday night to get it working, and today I went out and bought top of the line video editing software, with every format imaginable for capturing video.

I still can't get it to work.
I will continue to search for more information on the camera and type of resolution we recorded in (standard definition) until I exhaust every possibilty.

As of right now, it looks as though I'll be working on this for at least another week.

Please be patient, I know this camera has over two hours of excellent footage; if anyone from the Jam knows ANYTHING about video cameras and video editing, especially analog or sd, please personally give me a call on my cell phone: 305-962-9511

Thank you all,
Lev/ Derek.

Man, that's a bummer. Stephen knows some about video editing but he's not that great at it. He has top line software though (Final Cut Pro). I'll call him to see if he can possibly pitch you any information on how to do something or what ever. Cant guarantee you anything though, him and I mainly specialize in graphic design. Keep up the good work though. Im sure you'll throw something great together. ;D

What camera was it again? Like, the model number? I'm on the JVC site (that was the brand, right?) and a bunch of their cameras come with software. Maybe you should install it and see if that works?

well here is the page for that camera http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL027075&pathId=29&page=2&archive=true

at the top left it says customer service and it then has software updates...check through that and see...maybe its in there

Although new to the boards, I am not new to video editing.  Any software you could want or need is now at your disposal.  I'll add a few titles later to see if I can help with this as I get myself up to speed with the sport.
