Team Fortress 2 anyone?
« on: November 28, 2007, 08:31:42 AM »
So, it's gotten to be the time of year where it's dark when I go to work...and dark when I come home  ::)

Effing winter....

So what that means is more time for video games!

My brother and I generally get a game night going every Tues or Wed night...we are totally hooked on Team Fortress 2 for the PC.

Anyone out there play? What's your favorite class? Would you be interested if we started an APK group on Steam for TF2 nights?

Personally, I am best with the Soldier, or with heavy weapons guy with my brother as medic, or engineer on defensive levels.

Monkey:

I played and was all over TFC back in the day, and am in love with TF2 nowadays. :D I'm ohfomehxr on Steam if you want to add me as a friend. I'd be interested in at least hooking up and playing whenever convenient.

I'm not sure what class I'm *best* at... but I totally favor the Spy and Scout.

Nothing's smoother, awesomer, or sometimes more hilarious then when someone takes it for granted that sniper is on their team, then gets backstabbed as soon as they go a/b their business. ;) Plus sneaking around while invisible is SO something I daydream a/b. Stealth is just so fun.

I love how the Scouts can just flow through a map with their speed and doublejumps. I'm not quite so keen as far as actually SHOOTING someone as I'm dashing all over the damn place (it's hard to aim well when things are so fast-paced)... but pretty often I'll end up behind the enemy's front line b/c I've raced around behind them and get to pick off their medic and maybe a few others before getting all blowed up. :)

Send me a msg or something in Steam. :)

I definitely will..my brother and I will be on tonight at some point....
I am Monkey with I think stars on my name like in my APK name...but I'll have to check :)

I love playing spy, but everyone is so paranoid about spies these days I usually get ganked before I can do anything :) Perhaps I just need to practice more...

Rejoice on the scout too..SO fast

Yes, I have been sucked in by TF2 after playing my way through all of the Orange Box games lately. I'm on Steam as gearsighted and play a good bit on the TeamFortress2Fort servers.

I suck royally as a spy and sniper, but I'm a decent medic and engineer if you catch me on the right day. Otherwise I'm average as all else...capped a few points with each, picked up the intel with the scout a handful of times, got set on fire repeatedly by numerous pyros ;)

Leon, I'm way too behind the curve to play CS...I end up shot in the face in 10 seconds, and then get to watch a bunch of kids play for another half hour :p

Monkey, gearsighted is the display name that I've used for a friends Steam account, as he isn't currently playing any online team stuff. I'll have to eventually create my own account and buy TF2, because I love it, but at the moment the login is binarystyles, see if that works.

Monkey,

By all accounts I see "ohfomehxr" as my Steam name. :( I wasn't able to find yours the other day, either. Um... the email assoc with my Steam is "ohfomehxr@yahoo.com"... maybe that'd help? Man, I dunno what goes on w/ the Steam friends finder thing. :\

Oh man... my best friend keeps trying to get me into this. I'm not much of one for "shooting" games, but this looks like a good time. It looks like a lot of fun. *sigh* I've been doing well with sticking to my wellness plan for two days... don't need any more distractions!

That said, Heavy Weapons looks like a lot of fun.

she would be beyond all walking, and would fly.
