Heroes.
« on: November 26, 2007, 07:05:42 PM »
Did anyone see tonight's Heroes episode. In the last 15 minutes when Monica and Micah were trying to get his dad's medal back, Monica was looking at some freerunning vids so that she could get into the persons house that stole the medal. that's the only negative part was that it was used for a break-in ::) :-\

My wife and I were jazzed to see some cool moves on tv. I wish we could have had a better look at the video she watched.

If by Ilabaca, you mean Gabaca then yes. Gabe Nunez from Tempest is who was freerunning in the video she watched on her ipod. Victor actually was filmed for this episode too, but Gabe's face is so pretty they just couldn't resist using all of his footage :)

Ha! I was hoping there'd be some mention of this on here. I don't have cable, so I don't watch much TV (don't have time for it anyhow), although I love "Heroes" (I wait 'till they come out on DVD and then watch them, so I'm a season behind).

One of my colleagues at school today stopped by my office and was all, "I so thought of you lastnight! Parkour was on Heroes!" He then proceeded to tell me about the episode, and I've been curious about it all day. Shame that it didn't feature more prominently. Perhaps the character will apply her knowledge further in future episodes?

That shit was pretty tight. I like that show and it's cool to see something I can really connect with. The outcome could've easily been alot better though.

That was such a good part, i almost went nuts when i saw that, though i'm pretty sure all of the kung fu and whatnot she'd been watching would've helped her mess those guys up pretty bad...

Thats what got to me, althought this is kind of off-topic of parkour, that because of plot devices, she is somehow unable to re-parkour out of the house. And come on, she drops the comic book? Weak.

On topic though, loved seeing parkour in that episode, I just wish we could have seen some more, like a scene with them catching her in the room then she jumps out the window, rolls, and a chase scene ensues through the neighborhood, over fences, etc., instead of her just dopping a comic book and then getting guns pointed at her.

Also, I would love to have that power. You could emulate everything Yamakasi, David Belle, Sebastian Foucan, etc. ever did, just by watching their videos. The only downside would be the fun of finding something new to you would be gone - when you see something, you already know how to do it. You could never individually 'figure out' stuff that was giving you trouble.
If your instincts tell you that you cannot do it, you must break through them.

If your mind tells you that you cannot do it, you must accept it.

Challenge yourself... don't kill yourself.

If there was more to it I apologize, I missed it too, plus my computer loads youtube but only just lol. If there was more, that's most of it anyways...

I finally got to watch it off the nbc website.  I was... dissappointed.  Just a couple vaults and wall-runs.

Yeah, it really wasn't much, but to see it on such a popular show is very cool!

What episode of season two was this? I don't think I saw it.
It was just this past episode that played Nov 26th.
