Free running Project
« on: December 02, 2007, 12:49:09 PM »
Hi, I'm new to this, but I have takend a recent intrest in Free running, and would like to try it out. In my school we are required to do senior projects, research papers wehere we try to prove somthing that can be debated. Now I want to do my topic on Free running. I was thinking I could do proving that free running is an art, but do you guys have any other ideas? I can't do any extrmeme movements yet, but i can do basic vaults and such. I also need to do a physical project senior year, but I can't do the "Experiment" on myself, so I was thinking of starting a school club. You guys got any ideas that could help me? Or any relevant sources to help me do my research?

Did you put off your project until tonight? Why are you in such a rush.

There is a PLETHORA of information all OVER the internet...just start clicking around and reading!

right on the APK front page on the left toolbar, there are ALOT of things you can see, click, explore and read.

http://www.americanparkour.com

Try even reading the wikipedia article about parkour

or even visiting www.urbanfreeflow.com; They have some nice articles as well.

Don't expect this forum to do your work for you.
i'm sure your a big kid...if you want to find something, do some research.

No I didn't, but my teahcer want to know my thesis, and does not seem to believe I can wrtie a 10 page paper on this topic. She also does not seem to realize the Free running is more than just a buch of guys blogging about doing stupid stuff. So I need to convince her that this would be a legitimate project. And I am not expecting you guys to do the research for me, I  know sevearl sights already(those two included), but I am asking for some of your philosophies on Free running, and maybe why you decided to start it. Then I could explain it to her much better.

Sure you can write 10 pages on it...well you can write about the History, Philosophy, Basics and Advanced Techniques, the difference between Free Running and Parkour. There is plenty of stuff on all those things.
There is no past, there is no future, there is only the present because that is all that matters.
