How did you get your nickname/ team name?

Mine is just really easy to remember and just stuck from other paintball forums.

My friends in college...we used to call each other "Monkey"
So instead of "Hey Bro" It was "Hey Monkey"

I just never grew out of it  ;D

Back in highschool, my buddy Jon made fun of me for being Irish, and always called me Paddy, cause my uncle works at Paddy's Pub in Ireland.

Well...mine is kinda my last name, with a few letters missing. So it was easy. Plus schuby is a lot cooler, and more unique, than Michael.

"Muse of Fire" is from the opening lines of Shakespeare's play Henry V:

"O for a Muse of fire, that would ascend
The brightest heaven of invention,
A kingdom for a stage, princes to act
And monarchs to behold the swelling scene!"

A Muse is a female figure in Greek mythology; specifically the Muses were three (sometimes nine) goddesses or female spirits who embodied the arts. Modern interpretation of the word incorporates an idea of inspiration; i.e. that the muses are responsible for inspiring artists' work. More information

I have been told throughout my life by many different people that I am a muse-type figure. I also can relate very strongly to fire as an element; it seems to fit with my personality.

A friend used to often quote the opening lines from Shakespeare's "Henry V" in reference to me:

"O for a Muse of fire, that would ascend
The brightest heaven of invention..."

Although in the play that line (and the whole passage following it) is pretty much just the actors wishing they had the technology for special effects. ;) Full text

I don't have a team, but the organization that promotes parkour training in my city is simply called "Madparkour" because we're in Madison, WI.

There was a gym jam that we had with a 4 hour session.  Everyone went really hard and was sore or injured from the previous day.  So that day I decided to shot a solo video and was doing some roof gaps.  Everyone couldn't believe how alive I was and this tended to happen quite often so, they started calling me Dai2.  Since the day 2 of intense training I was crazy.

Though, my name here on the boards is just my full name.  Its funny when people call me by my full name out face to face though.  I enjoy it...its funny.

I am an instructor at my Master's martial arts studio.  I took an internship with him right before I finished college so that I could learn more of the business side of his studio.  During that process, my instructor carted me around on all of his errands, and at a martial arts supply store the owner call me my master's Disciple.  For the rest of the summer every time we went to that store, the owner would call me Disciple.

When I wanted to sign up for the UFF forums, I had to pick a name and didn't know what to pick. So I picked Demon because it was my high school mascot. No special meaning, purpose, or anything here.  :P Cool eh?

And now that is pretty much who you are. Haha

Half the people on here don't have a clue about your real name.

My old girlfriend gave me the name Acewall. Because my last name is Wallace, and when people ask how to spell it always say "It's just Wall and Ace put together." When my gf heard that, she said "your name could be Acewall you know." And even since then she's called me that from time to time.

Cleoud made me laugh and its' 5 in the morning...surprisingly I didn't wake anyone...

My nick, psycosis12, comes from some crime show I was watching when I was like 12 and I had it ever since then, they said some guy suffered from Psychosis, I just dropped the h and 12 is one of my favorite number, coincidentally that's the age I adopted the name as my own.

My last name is Finn... and for some reason some of my friends though that I should be named Phish (I think it was just some joke that stuck), when I used it online (in a few hacker forums, mostly) it REALLY stuck, and now I'm Phish... In middle school and high school some of my teachers actually did call me Phish though, and most of the time teachers would make comments on my papers that would say Phish,...

Well, guess how I got mine name?  Here's a hint:  My last name is not "Jennifer."

*sigh*  It's been encouraging to read that I'm not the only unoriginal one out there... (*cough* Demon *cough*)
