i dont know, parkour taught me to take things one breath at a time. i cant possibly guess what life choices i would have made, parkour gives me a reason to pause the game and go outside and climb a tree.

my mind is constantly moving, one day my body will be strong enough to keep up.

Hmm, perhaps I would be in the same place. I don't need the name to define what I do;)
This post was based off of my personal gatherings. Enjoy:)

I'm new to Parkour. But just from what I've learned about it, and what I've seen and have been trying. It helps me to take life one step at a time. To realize how wonderful the now is and not let the stresses of life hold me down.

Gosh, I don't even know. Dead, probably haha. It has seriously helped me start to overcome a depression that I've had for years now. Parkour has given me meaning, purpose, loads of new friends... it's pretty incredible.

I feel so mich more liberated and calm now. I can see the world so differently everything can be used for fun. Walls are floors, hard to reach places are no longer hard to reach :)

I wouldn't have anything to apply physical fitness to. I would also veer away from challenging things, and perhaps take the easier route. I wouldn't have had so many adventures in the outdoor world, and would have spent too much time sitting in front of my computer, the TV, or a games console, wasting life.

Parkour has not only bought me the physical discipline, but also the reasoning to never give up, and always do something enjoyable and challenging. I self taught my drums for three years, which was incredibly hard, all because of this new mindset I have. I'm trying harder than ever in school now, because of this new mindset.

Parkour also teaches me that there is always something more to achieve, something new to learn and discover. Whereas before I would do what I thought satisfactory and stop, now I keep going on for as long as I want to, knowing that I will always see improvement if I put the effort in.

In other words; life without parkour would suck.

Without parkour I would never have accomplished so much in any of my other sports. Parkour has helped me so much in my dance, my track and field, my ice hockey. And I wouldn't have ever had something to believe in, my own physical ability. I would have never met the people that are now my best friends, I would have actually bought Modern Warfare instead of selling all my video games. I would have not picked out a university solely because of the sweet shit I could jump off of.

Still hanging onto that branch over the creek hoping that gator can't climb a tree. Gator is a good motivator for doing your first muscle up.

I'd still have Free Running, Tricking, and Muay Thai/Muay Boran so I'd be just as fine without parkour

Leland, over here!

In worse shape for sure, maybe less confidence, I don't think that I would have my mindset that no matter where you are or what group of people you are talking about there will always be a majority that holds the same interests as you, which I developed from my time with the international parkour scene.

I would still be playing magic the gathering and reading the halo books... oh wait I still do!
Um... I would not have the freedom of thought that I now have. I never would have been able to move with the gracefulness that I do now. Let's see... now I can actually be a assassin instead of faking it (look at the pic).  Now I am sexy. Now I can go places others can not. I do what a lot of people think is impossible.

Now I am sexy.

...and isn't that really what it's all about?

Doing things that are equally or more awesome, like mountainbiking. For sure though, Parkour is great.

Without Parkour I would have been a lot worse off. Parkour has allowed me to think more rationally, strive to better myself and help others better themselves. It's made me more mature, and I would be a lot less fun.
