I'm sorry to break the flow of the discussion, but could someone please explain to me what this is all about? I'm fairly new to this and to me FRPK was like tricking. But then someone said it was parkour and now i'm confused.

Freestyle parkour does not equal parkour. freestyle parkour shouldn't have parkour in its name. I did an analogy a while back comparing the two. they are two different things. nowadays, FRPK=free running. But in the older days, free running was the English friendly term for parkour, that was thought of by good ol Sebastien foucan. i hope this clears some of the things up for ya.
It gets much deeper than the thing i just told you, but this is it in a nut shell. I'm not the fastest typer in the world, so i will leave the deeper explanation to anybody more experienced and wiser than I. (that sounded cool :) )

I dont hate FRPK, everybody loves a flip every now and then, but it is annoying how they (i know its not all of them) try to make it seem like thier way is the best, and That all traceurs are bitter purists. That being said it's also annoying to see Traceurs Insulting FRPK'ers ( i have no idea what they're called) Personally, i like it, its different, its fun, its what turned me on to actual PARKOUR ( i think most of the people here as well where drawn in by seeing a vidoe with flips, wallspins, gainers, etc in it)  And even though i have realized all that i also realized that it is not parkour, and it never will be.
ON a different subject

By the way, David Belle ought to get his site back up since "District 13" is coming to theaters in North America.  If people see Belle on the big screen and become interested in him, that might help a great deal.

when is it comming? will it be in remade as an american movie, or just subtitled

Parkour creates communities, not rivalries. Keep competition out of parkour.
