Unusual Style
« on: August 20, 2007, 10:30:59 AM »
One of the guys from this Russian team joined the OSUPK facebook group and started sharing his training videos with us. This one has a couple of innovative movements in here which are worth having a look at.

I don't know if it's all that unusual, but that pop-reverse vault was AWESOME.  There was also a spin there that was kinda weird/cool looking, but I don't remember what happened.

I like the move where he jumped onto a bar, absorbed into it, and then popped back, up, and over it in what I can only describe as a no-feet monkey vault.

yeah i agree with animus. the only really cool and unusual thing i saw was the pop reverse.

muhammad - that would be referred to as a cast to squat through in gymnastics and is a very basic movement to get your feet on top of the bar.

The pop reverse vault was good but the rest wasn't unusual. A few variations in there but thats about it.

And it's harder getting over something wider than a fence.

it is nice to see variations from the norm whenever possible no matter how small.

Ok, here's a newer video from the same crew out of Russia. This one is better produced than the first one. His mullet is longer in this one too :)
