Webster Help w/videos
« on: January 23, 2015, 06:53:01 AM »
Hey all! I was wondering if I can get some advice on my websters. I try to throw it as hard as I can but I almost always end up not rotating far enough and if I do im super low. Anybody got some advice for me?

These are my 2 cents....

In the first video you lean to far forward to create any lift.  Remember when you flip your body will more often than not follow the way your shoulders are pointing.  Also in that video you did not let your kicking leg rise up far enough before you flipped.

In the second video you waited longer on that kicking leg but you flipped your shoulders down too soon.

With most flips you want to finish in the same body position that you started in.   If you start standing tall, finish standing tall.  If you start low to the ground you are gonna finish low to the ground.

Good luck with the websters,   I have standing front tucks on the flat ground but still have issues landing running websters.    Keep us up to date on your progress.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give the shoulder trick a try when the rain stops.

your not dropping your chest enough keeping it up like that is really hard to get a good one legged jump out of.

your Webster should feel way different than a punch front, you need to get low kind in a lung with your chest down then jump up and flick you back foot up at the same time.

At the end of this vid is my current Webster progress with the lowered chest trick. It feels better but still needs work. Plus this was slightly uphill.
