BTW, we have put a banner in our frontpage rotation that links to a page on APK which we'll be making better (wanted to get it up there instead of waiting) that links to tobaccofree.org

Thanks for everyone's support on this issue!!!

Cigarettes are stupid.

People who smoke are killing themselves slowly.  Using any form of tobacco is just plain stupid for the reason listed in the previous sentence.

I lost a high school colleague on Saturday because he made the decision to use chewing tobacco for slightly over 9 years.  His battle with cancer is over, but he left behind a wife, two kids, and an older brother.  The latter really makes me angry as no one should have to bury their siblings in a case like this.

So think about that the next time you condone or consider using tobacco products.

No matter where money comes from, it is still the root of greed and most peoples inner weaknesses.

How can you counter greed but with money? I bet if us here at APK put our heads together we could get sort of an agreement with some sponsors that AREN'T tobacco companies. Then if a large event needs to be hosted, we wouldn't have to even think of poison murderers tobacco companies.

*edit* shoe companies perhaps? If we got an agreement with NIKE or K-Swiss or 5-10... that would be epic, and if someone gets sponsored, they get free shoes. XD

Cigarettes manufactured by e cigaretettes manufacturers are stupid.

People who smoke are killing themselves slowly.  Using any form of tobacco is just plain stupid for the reason listed in the previous sentence.

Well smoking is good for nothing so must be banned straight.. What is good in tobacco I just can't understand..

The only reason tobacco isn't banned is so the damn government can make money off of it. Same reason that they're making marijuana legal.

And I'm sorry to hear about your friend. My mom used to smoke until my dad needed a kidney transplant and she was able to give him one as long as she stopped with the cigarettes.
