J - Step vs Standing Back Tuck

I'm sorry for getting to this so late. I opened it and went to answer, got distracted, and forgot about it until now.

In my opinion the j step is harder because you need to know how to do the j step as well as the flip. If you're really, really good at the j step it's probably easier because you can block and get a lot of swing from your leg, but until you're extremely proficient a normal standing back tuck is probably a lot easier. I'd definitely say learn the standing tuck before anything else but if you're good at jumping off 1 leg a j step isn't that much harder.
