Morning Stretch/Yoga!

Then some Parkour Skills Training all "Napoleon Dynamite" style ("What ever I FEEL like doing! GAAAH!")

200m Warm up run followed by two rounds of:

Lunge Walks             10 steps
QM                              Back to starting position on a 5" wide concrete curb
Tuck Jumps                 8

Joint mobility drills (everything)

-Run/jump/rolls - spent most of the time doing this. See notes)
-A few vaults (speed, safety and lazy)
-Cat leap to muscle ups
-Cat hang on the monkey bars (full minute)
-Laches
-Shimmy up the swing set pole
-Miscellaneous climbing on the monkey bars
-Miscellaneous monkey business

Cool down run (200 m)

Stretch

Notes:
-I've been over thinking my run up. I'll approach the take off point, get ready to plant my feet, jump, land (both feet), then roll forward.  As a result, it's very choppy (and sloppy)
-Finally, I just decided to go for it. Took about three/four good, long strides and just jumped. Almost couldn't help do a perfect cross shoulder roll with the forward momentum carrying me. AND, had enough velocity to roll out and run.
-Still needs work, but I think I cleared about seven feet!
-Trying to work on lacheing ON TO something, Right now, I'm still afraid I'm going to smash my face into the obstacle before I grab it, so I always land just a little short. Practice, practice, I guess...
-Side note: You can tell what kind of work out it's going to be when you speed vault over a park bench and plant your hand on some bird poop!

Slept in and skipped Morning Yoga/Stretch. Dang it!

But I did manage to get a decent Body Weight Strength Training and Conditioning Workout in.

Warmed up with joint mobility drills.  But this time, I just did wrist, elbows and shoulders since I was working upper body first.  Then:

Pull Ups                                                 4 x 12
Chin Ups                                                4 x 10
Push Ups                                               4 x 12
Diamond Push Ups                                4 x 12

THEN I did joint mobility drills for hips, knees and ankles followed by:

Lunges                                                  4 x 12
Squats                                                  4 x 12
Jump Squats                                         4 x 12

Since my joints take a pounding on this workout, I concluded with full body joint mobility drills and a stretch

Notes:
-Not sure why, but my pull ups and chin ups really suuuuuuucked today. Maybe I worked out too soon after lunch. Or maybe that PB&J sandwich got me too heavy to lift.
-But I was definitely struggling with the last two reps on just about every set except the first.
-As always I waited 30 seconds, 45 seconds and 60 seconds between sets.
-This workout was little truncated because I was short on time. So I cut out the dips because my triceps are getting freakishly large.

Skipped the Morning Yoga/Stretch again (and am really feeling it).

But I got in some Body Weight Strength and Conditioning

Started out with the usual joint mobility drills followed by:

Pull Ups                              4 x 12
Chin Ups                            4 x 10
Negative Pull Ups              4 x 12
Burpees                            4 x 10
Squats                              4 x 12
Lunges                              4 x 12
Pistol Squats (Assisted)    3 x 10

Stretch

Notes:
-Just to mix things up, I threw in the burpees in place of the push ups.  That was a beating! I could get through the first two sets okay, But the last two were killer. I am really out of shape!
-Had trouble with the chin ups. The last few reps of the second and third set gave me a ton of trouble.

Did the Morning Yoga/Stretch today (and yesterday).

It's been raining for two days straight. So I figured I'd get in a little Indoor Parkour. But this was just a crappy workout.

Not sure if it's because I didn't warm up enough or because my schedule's all out of whack from the week's craziness. But here's what I did

Warmed up with three rounds of

Lunge Walk        10
Tuck Jump          10

Then went into:

-Lazy vault, right side, couch                 10
-Lazy vault, left side, couch                   10
-Precisions (6 feet)                                10
-Monkey ups, guest bed                        10
-A few run/jumps to stick the landing

Wasn't feeling "worked out enough" so I did Burpees 2 x 10

I'm visiting a kung fu class on Saturday, so as a cool down, did some shadow boxing. Felt good to get those muscles working again.

Joint mobility drills

Stretch

Called it a day

Notes
-Left side lazy vaults were weak. Guess I'm out of practice. Half of them were more like thief vaults and I caught my leg on the obstacle a couple times.
-Managed to get a few good ones in. But man! That just shot my confidence.
-Not much room for run/jumps. The focus was mainly on getting a good take off and solid landing with both feet.
-Crappy workouts happen! Still debating whether it's better to try and have a bad workout, or skip it until focus returns. Any thoughts?

Still too wet to train outside and I'm kind of in a funk (been a wild 'n' crazy week). Plus I slept in and skipped the Morning Stretch.

So, I decided some P90X Yoga was just the thing to calm down the vibes and stretch out the bod.

And that's exactly what I did.
