Parkour Music
« on: February 26, 2013, 04:44:17 PM »
what kind of music do you think is good for parkoour? i think dubstep, or skrillex, or techno.  ???
Understand that this art has been created by few soldiers in Vietnam to escape or reach; this is the spirit I'd like parkour to keep. Its up to you to determine what is useful in an emergency situation, and what is'nt.

I tend to listen to all three of those listed. I also listen to anything that is fast paced and full of energy. Something that gets me pumped to run and do tricks.

There is a difference between simply being alive, and living. What do you gain by just simply eating and breathing? What is your life worth when you have nothing to lose?

Not while I train, but occasionally I like to listen to fast DNB to get some energy for afternoon sessions. I also found the Far Cry 2 Soundtrack pretty awesome for pumping you up, if you're into tribal drums.

Example of a prime track: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcLXCzumsdU" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcLXCzumsdU</a>

I'm more of a rock chick, so it'll be something like:
Disturbed
Skillet
Linkin Park
Three Days Grace

as well as:
Lana del Rey
Neon Trees
Panic! at the Disco

basically, all the stuff i like that makes me mad/pumped up to prove myself!
