Parkour Hotspot Map....need confirmations
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:53:56 PM »
Hey Guys..

I've been working on putting the COPK hotspots information onto a google map so that folks (especially visiting traceurs) can find them easily.

I need confirmation on the Tiffany square and Fort Park hotspots location. I've never been to them so I just used what info I could find on Google maps. If they are in the wrong place, I want to know where to put them.

The map is currently linked off my puny website found here: http://contactjimparker.googlepages.com/parkerparkour
Hopefully will permanently reside on the COPK site.

Thanks!
Jim

hey man that's sweet I give you all my props on that one +1! but... is there any way to shrink the captions? they're a bit big, but other than that, sweet!

Thanks HnRock!

If you mean the captions on the left hand side of the map...just click on the arrow and the sidebar collapses.
If you mean the blue dot/arrows that point at each spot..no luck..they are a fixed size.

But I am trying to get the COPK logo on there instead of a dot  8)

Here's the address for Fort Park and yes it is in Fort Collins

1118 Miramont Dr. @ the corner of Lemay & Miramont.
It's on the North Side of Fort Collins, a mile or two past the Walmart on Mulberry.

Thanks for all your work!!!

Tiffany Square is at the intersection of Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road or Woodmen Rd. & Corporate Center Drive

I'll see if I can find you the exact address tomorrow

Thanks guys!!
I'll update tonight when I get home...
Also, let me know if anyone has videos from any of the hotspots...if they're on Youtube or googlevideo I can imbed them in the map hotspots!

Thanks
Jim

OK....all updated.
Thanks guys!!

One note...google map is doing something weird...text is appearing outside the popup window instead of becoming a scrollable window.

Looks messy and I can't access the videos right now  >:(

Its in Beta so these things are expected...I'll submit a bug report to Google.

Just a question, but on COPK, are the hotspots for 16th street mall and center of performing arts and the denver convention center supposed to be grayed out? are the links broken or are they just under construction?

I would assume there just hasn't been a pics/writeup posted...

If someone gives me the addresses I'll post them on the map...

I don't know Denver very well :)

Hotspots that aren't yet linked up on COPK haven't been put together yet. If you want to write up a hotspot for one of them or a new place, feel free to submit the needed info and pics to me at coloradoparkour@gmail.com.

The map is looking cool. But when I click on a hotspot, it pops up in the caption box but not all of it fits. Anyone else have this problem?

Hey!!

Looks like the bug in Google Maps may be fixed!?

Can folks surf over there and click a few of the hotspot marks?

You should come up with a scrollable window with the info from the COPK website as well as videos (on the UC Boulder and Red rocks locations)

Hoping the bug is fixed!!!
