    That's exactly what I thought XD. Unfortunately, the calories shown on the back of a candy bar wrapper are actually kilocalories (1,000 calories. I hope I spelled it right)
I believe you need to capitalize the "C" to mean kilocalories. Lower case is a single calorie (unit of energy needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree).

I dont know of all cold drinks but I heard that cola drinks dissolve calcium in our body... and yes cold drinks do have a burning effect in the body Better to have hot drinks or fruit juices..

Oh god not this thread again. It hurts every time I read it.

Where did you hear the calcium thing? If you have a source I'd be interested in reading it. But saying "I heard" just sparks useless discussion where everybody gives opinions on the matter (see above) and none of that gets us anywhere. Especially for the cold drinks crap. Is there some small metabolic effect from drinking cold water? Yeah, probably. Is it anywhere near large enough to matter for anything? No. It's quite obviously not.
