Put what you eat in a typical day to fitday and then post it here.

My guess is you're likely not eating over 3k kcals even though you say you're eating a lot.

Yea, I don't know why, I used to be like 180 now I'm down to 155when I started working out and did P90X once, I'll try that. I think I maybe get 6/10 the to 3000 Cals a day

People who say "I eat all the time but can't put on weight!" are kidding themselves just as much as people who say "I eat so little and never lose weight!"

Keep a damned food journal and keep your perceptions to yourself.  Perceptions don't facilitate progress, they hinder it.  Focus on the facts, ignore what you *think* is going on.

You dont have to keep a food journal.  No one is twisting your arm.  But until you do, you can't make bogus claims like "I eat so much!"

I'd say eat the whole egg, as I do myself, but if you really are worried about the cholesterol just cook 1 with yolk, then just remove the rest of the yolk. Eggs are a god tier food and IMHO should be eaten every day.

Never remove the yolk.

I'm going to append a question if I may...

Does cooking the yolk essentially destroy all the good stuff? I loooove getting creative with omelets, but that usually means breaking and cooking the yolk. I'd be willing to make the omelet only with the white and just eating the yolk on its own. :) How much, if any, do you loose when cooking the yolk?

How much what?  Predicate nominatives might help me understand what you're talking about.

Well, a lot. Sources say
Quote
They contain 100% of the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K as well as carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin found in the egg. They also contain more than 90% of the calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, folate, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12.

So what, if any, of this is messed up from cooking?

Not much.

Cooking just denatures the proteins which makes it solidify. Well, if you start burning your eggs you're potentially changing chemical structures. But otherwise not much.

Cooking increases bioavailability of nutrients anyway over raw.

Steven, you have no idea how happy you made me just now... I mean, I love my raw yolks but they certainly limit the potential from a culinary standpoint. :P

The proteins of the white are much better absorbed when cooked.  The proteins of the yolk are better absorbed raw.  Sunny side up maximizes potential for absorption, or soft boiled eggs.

That said, practically, it doesn't really matter ALL that much.  I just mentioned the above to be a stickler.  Eat your eggs whole, and cooked however the hell you want otherwise.

There a study on the yolk being better absorbed raw?

These are the things that I feel belong in the "double your intake to ensure that if you're cooking out something...it's covered" file.  I would be interested in the above study, though.

I'll need time to find it.  It came up a few times in one of the mega-threads between tombb, steve and myself.  I believe it was a full-text, too...
