The Spartan Race

http://www.spartanrace.com

Here's whats up. 2 years from now I'm gonna try this. I'm barely in shape, so I'm going to condition and train for this over the next 2 years. I WILL complete every race; Spartan Sprint, Super Spartan, Spartan Beast and Spartan Death Race. My first race will be 2 years from now. Like I said, I'm going condition and train for it as hard as I can. I know for a fact if I try hard enough I can do this. I don't see why not? What does everyone think of this race? Would anyone else on here try it? I'm sure parkour can come into play some here, so I might have a slight advantage, who knows. If anyone on here has tried this race could you tell me what you did to condition for it? Thanks.

Doing Tough Mudder here in October. Harder than the Spartan.

Crossfit 5 days a week. Running 12 miles average on day 6.

You are not in as good shape as you think.

Parkour is minimally useful. The hardest part in the time between the obstacles.
Aren't we all running?

So, crossfit 5 days, then running on the 6th?

My favourite Tough Mudder obstacle has got to be Electroshock Therapy. You can't really train for that, just hope you're big enough and dry enough that it won't hurt too bad.

More obstacles (30), less down time, no waiting.

Assuming you have to be 18? I'd love to try one of them with my dad.

14 is the youngest for Spartan Race. Idk about Tough Mudder. I'd like to try Spartan Race just to get a feel of it. Then go to Tough Mudder.

You need too. 6 months pre-race minimum. If you're not starting that far from the deadline you're gonna need a miracle to even cross that finish line.

I will. I won't be able to do it until after highschool. Mostly because I'm not in shape (stamina wise)...can NOT run long distances..
