Update:
We are still finalizing the schedule and working out the details so this information is subject to change, but it should help you with planning. As the details become final we will be sure to update you:
1. We are looking at 3-3.5 days of training. I want to reserve the 21st and 25th as travel days for Parkour Generations
2. Plan on paying approximately $100-$125 for all 3 days of training, or $40/day if you just want to do individual days. A final price will be announced once we have made airfare reservations, etc. We will try to get this final figure to you well in advance.
3. You provide your own accommodations. We are working on an arrangement with a private dorm downtown. Last time we hosted Midwest, we were able to get a rate of $18/night at a nice, centrally-located place. We're working on this now, but no guarantees on the rate until we get something nailed down. If it doesn't work we can provide the names of hotels in the area.
4. We are working on providing an "add-on" experience at a local gym on Friday night before the event starts. Still tentative but we'll let you know.
5. Plan on an overnight camping experience in a natural area on the last night. Again, still in the works, but it could happen.
So... if you were planning to do the whole weekend, your schedule and costs MIGHT look like this (assuming our plans work out the way we want them to)--taking high estimates here to be conservative:
$125 for a weekend of training:
*Saturday downtown Madison & campus area
*Sunday at a state park
*Monday morning light jam at state park
*add $15 for Friday night gym session (optional)
$18/night accommodations for Friday night & Saturday night
approx. $25/person for cabin rental (if this happens) for Sunday night. Or bring your own tent and use a tent site; park fees for that range around $15-20 depending on where you are and how many people)
Food is on your own, although a portion of your training fees will go towards a BBQ on Sunday night. There are tons of places in downtown Madison to eat on the cheap, all within walking distance of where we will be training. Saturday morning you will also have the option to visit our Farmers Market which is a great place to find fantastic local produce and delicious Wisconsin cheese, among other treats! So you can stock up on vittles for the weekend (and for the state park days) there if you like.
Hopefully that gives you an idea for planning purposes. Remember, these numbers are, at this point still very tentative. More details to come as we know more!
