That looks awesome.
I see it said it was in columbus,so I assume thats where it will be held again?
This would be ideal for me,only a couple hours away.

Weight training alongside parkour always benefits, it never takes away.

Columbus is closer to me then (B)east but it's still a tough decision. This isn't fair.

I should be there. Which means no (B)East for me.

I'm glad I can finally talk about it.

I think ours drive last year was 8 hours. It's worth it.

Seconded. And I remember a group from Texas drove I think a total of almost 20 hours to get there; definitely worth it, especially if you're traveling with a group!

Man, I had to drive nearly two hours last year! It was crazy.

Here's my constructive criticism.

1) You picked the same exact dates and times that another group has already been hosting a jam.  :(  When SFPK decided to do a National Jam this year, the first thing we did was send emails to people who have planned National Jams in the past, so that we weren't stealing anyone's thunder.
2) Memorial Day Weekend is a very expensive time of year to fly.  For those of us on the West Coast going to either Beast Coast or AR2 is super expensive.

Otherwise, I hope you all have a great jam.  I'd love to be there, but I don't think it's going to work for me.

Thanks for the input, Brett. We agree that the conflict isn't ideal, but we give a lot of thought into planning these events. There's a few reasons why Memorial Day Weekend works best for this event:

1. Three day weekend helps keep per day costs down.
2. If we held it any earlier in the year, weather would increasingly be a concern (and it couldn't be on a three day weekend).
3. Might be the biggest: If we held it any later in the year, OSU students would no longer be in Columbus. Since most of the Columbus community are OSU students, they would be likely miss out on the training if we held it later in the year.

Thanks for the response Nick.  I understand.  In the end, no jam will ever work out well for everyone.  If I were close enough to either, I'd pick one and drive, but it's finals week for me and a 3 day drive across country is out of the question... as epic as it would be!

I'm sure it will be awesome for everyone who goes.

I'm pretty bummed I'm gonna need to skip (B)East, since I'd been planning for it over the last few months. However, I feel strongly about the direction that Parkour in Ohio is going, spearheaded almost exclusively by the fantastic Traceurs of PKHZ, so I think I should be there. Sorry that it couldn't have worked out better for you Brett, I was hoping to train with you this year.

With that being said, anybody that wants to train with me should be there or be square... Or round... Or triangular if it fits your fancy.

Did my 10.

I don't know exactly how much training I'll be able to do.  I may just show up to mess around a bit and watch.
