Tron: Legacy
« on: December 16, 2010, 11:59:53 PM »
I just got back from the midnight premiere of Tron: Legacy.

I loved it. There is not one thing I'm disappointed by, aside from the fact it was only 2 hours long. I'm surely going to see it several more times. It is now one of my top movies.

Here are my thoughts:

1. Olivia Wilde is super hot.
2. See #1.
3. The fight/battle scenes were top-notch and exhilarating. I especially liked the light cycle battle.
4. It was nice to see a little bit of practical parkour movement as Sam vaults two police cars. Looked like a dash then a kong.
5. The ending was conclusive but managed to leave things very open for two more movies [to be produced if Disney is satisfied with Legacy's success].

Y'all forgot Anis as Rinzler.

Now THAT'S how you make a tricker look like a badass.

1) Special effects were incredible.
2) Light cycle battle and final flying sequence were gorgeous.
3) Fight scenes were meh, too much fast cutting and weird Hollywood angles to get a grip on the action.
4) Story was average and predictable in my opinion, I knew instantly who Tron was and I'm still unsure what Iso's are.
5) Ending was cool, I can agree with that.
6) Music was surprisingly good considering I'm not a techno/electronic fan.
7) Wilde is hot. Nuff said.

I give it a B+.

Fight scenes were exhilarating, yes....

Plot was flat and predictable...

special effects were good, but definitely no avatar....

the best part was the beginning and it got progressively blaugh.....

sorry. The kong-dash was the best part.

I expected a little more, though I loved the concept.

After seeing this with several traceurs, we all agreed there are two conclusions to be drawn from this movie which are completely irrefutable:

1) Flips are parkour.
2) Tricking is the most effective and practical martial art.

Oh yeah, 3 conclusions:
3) Wilde is hot.
