Traceur Visiting Washington? READ ME!
« on: December 05, 2010, 09:35:11 PM »
This is a brief run through of the major points in the Washington community for visiting traceurs. Please contact me if you have any questions and I'll help you get along your merry way.

Most popular jam sites:

  • Gasworks Park in Seattle
    2101 N. Northlake Way Seattle, Washington 98103
This is probably the most known park in Washington for Parkour. It's an old abandoned (as in no longer used, there are lots of people at this nice park all the time) gas factory. Occasionally traceurs are seen training here, and the biggest jams happen here. It's a great place with lots of variety for training.
  • Freeway Park in Seattle
700 Seneca St., Seattle, Washington 98101
This park is AWESOME. Freeway Park features a large cluster of walls that are packed together. You have to see pictures of it the exact level of awesomeness is contains. This is probably the second most known and trained at hot spot in Seattle, next to Gasworks Park.
  • Parkour Visions Gym
There are open gym jams and classes held in the gym. Run by Tyson Cecka and Rafe Kelley.
  • Luther Burbank Park
2040 84th Avenue Southeast Mercer Island, WA 98040
BEST PLAYGROUND EVER. It's like this place was made for parkour. The children's playground isn't a regular playground. For some reason, it was built with lots of walls absolutely everywhere. Again, it's like it was created for parkour. This is the coolest playground I've ever seen. It also has an abandoned structure in the back of the park that has a maze of walls. Awesome playground is awesome.

Those are the main hot spots of the Washington Community. As you can see, the big ones are in Seattle. There are a lot of traceurs all over the state, but it can be tricky to get in contact with them depending on where they're located. But please, if you have any questions or concerns, contact me and I'll help you with what I can!

For the fastest response, email me at matt@washingtonparkour.com
You can also private message me on the forums here too, but email is the fastest way to get a hold of me.

We hope to jam with you sometime!
