how do i get enough momentum to do a standing front flip ???

sooo... like the title says...i can get enough to land on my butt, but the pain just shoots up my legs, i have no place to safely practice so i just combine my couch and matress, but srsly how with the momentum ?

How high are you jumping? Also are you fully tucking your flip?

Im jumping to where my feet are at my waist, and i think im tucking enough but i dont seem to spin all the way

Try using a Russian style front flip technique. Instead of jumping while throwing your arms down, wait to jump until your arms go all the way around and are moving up behind you. This way your arms will give you more lift and rotation,

axe - webster is technically a standing front flip, and it looks better
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

Oh opinions opinions, heh.

I'd say make sure you're really getting your hips up and around quickly, and use your arms properly (videos in above posts). Best of luck!
