if you can run up it so your facing the side, so the roof looks like this /\-ish.  Then run up so that your dominant hand will grab the highest part of the roof and your non-dominant hand will grab lower, then pull yourself up like any other climb-up.  I learned this way because the back of my house is the only thing I have to wall-run that's close by.

Don't climb buildings if you are trespassing.
and if a cop pulls you over for climbing a building, don't use the word parkour giving us a bad name.
I like Tricking and Free Running, i don't think i actually do parkour, because i do it for fun and self expression, which would change the term to free running.

^Haha, I like that. Next time someone asks what I'm doing I'll say, "Oh, its this new sport called bangloggoling. You should try it out." Except, a cop might confuse what you said with "bankrobbing", and then shoot you.

what if its your roof? is it still against the law? or is that just if your tresspassing on other roofs? I dont go on roofs exept to see whats happaning. I live up on a hill in the middle of eagle point and when i am on my roof i have a 360 view of the entire valley. if your wondering if i spy through other peoples windows, the answer is no.

trespassing on your own property?  no it's only trespassing if it's not your property, your property is your property you can do whatever you want on your own property.

Tresspassing = Going on someone else's property without permission. using common sense, you know what is legal and what isn't legal to climb.

Roofs are not inherently bad, being stupid about being on roofs is the problem. I think people should stop making such overgeneralized blanket statements...
This post was based off of my personal gatherings. Enjoy:)
